UFC 160 is still a long way away but fans just can’t wait to see Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva pound each other as they face each other once more. The two faced each other at UFC 146 at the Dos Santos versus Mir event in May 2012 and this second encounter promises to be an action filled –event as Velasquez aims to defeat Silva and gain the upper hand on May 26, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
Lately, UFC announced another pair that will grace the MGM arena for UFC 160. It’s Dennis Bermudez versus Max Holloway for a featherweight fiasco. Both fighters are fresh from their own wins and both are expecting to win at UFC 160 to improve their impressive stats. Let us look how these two will match:
Dennis “The Menace” Bermudes is a 26-year old featherweight fighter from Saugerties, New York, United States. He has a 10 win and 3 losses professional MMA record. His last fight was a split decision win over Matt Grice at UFC 157 – Rousey versus Carmouche in February 2013. If he wins over Holloway in UFC 160, this will be his fourth consecutive win since May 2012. But it was not always roses for Bermudes; before his consecutive wins, he suffered a back to back to back loss from September 2010 to December 2011. He was defeated by Diego Brandao in his first UFC appearance and by Jordan Rinaldi in PFC and in the hands of Drew Fickett at Shine Fights.
Max “Blessed” Holloway on the other hand is a 21-year old featherweight from Waianae, Hawaii, United States. He has an impressive record of 7 wins and only one loss in his career. His last win was against Leonard Garcia in UFC 155 Dos Santos versus Velasquez 2 via split decision in December 2012. Before this win he was able to defeat Justin Lawrence and Pat Schilling. His only loss was in the hands of Dustin Poirier in UFC 143 Diaz versus Condit in February 2012 as Poirier leashed out a decisive submission triangle arm bar move.
Bermudes and Holloway will face each other in May along with other fighters like Junior dos Santos versus Mark Hunt, Glover Teixeira versus James Te Huna, Gray Maynard versus T.J. Grant, Gunnar Nelson versus Mike Pyle, Donald Cerrone versus K.J. Noons and Robert Wittaker versus Colton Smith to name a few.
