Tim Sylvia vs. Randy Couture

I say of all the UFC title holders, Tim Sylvia is the most overrated. He now has a chance to step into the ring with a Former UFC champion and prove himself. Randy Couture is no pushover. He will be in shape and make Sylvia fight to keep his belt. Couture will still have to overcome a huge weight and height advantage. A lot of fighters have a hard time with Sylvia’s size. This should be a good match up overall.

Couture wins by unanimous decision.

Matt Hughes vs. Chris Lytle

I like Lytle as a fighter, but he just isn’t ready for Matt Hughes. Matt Hughes is going to be looking for vengeance after the St. Pierre loss.

Matt Hughes by TKO/KO in the first.

Rich Franklin vs. Jason MacDonald

I think this is going to be the fight of the night. MacDonald is a rising star with lots of potential and Franklin is one of the best champion’s the UFC has ever had. MacDonald has been training in Canada and at Jacksons in Albuquerque to prepare for this fight.

Franklin by TKO/KO in the latter rounds.

Renato “Babalu” Sobral vs. Jason Lambert

Sobral was written off after his quick loss to Chuck Liddel. Especially after all that hype. If you look at his record, a lot of his losses come by way of top fighters( Fedor, Henderson, and Liddell). Lambert looked bad against Rashad Evans.

Sobral wins by strikes in the second round.

Matt Hamill vs. Rex Holman

Hamill by split decision.

Jon Fitch vs. Luigi Fioravanti

both fighters have similar records, but Fitch has wins over stronger opponents.

Fitch by split decision.

Other Undercard Fights

Martin Kampmann vs. Drew McFedries
Jamie Varner vs. Jason Gilliam
Gleison Tibau vs. Jason Dent

Silvia is better than people give him credit for. He isn't as athletic as most top heavyweights, but he makes up for that in a technical advantage…size.

Just look at Shaq, he can't even make a freethrow but he has dominated much of basketball. Same thing here, the guy has an advantage until they make a superheavyweight division. As much as I like Coture, I think it would really suprise me if he wins.

Not bad, you got them all pretty spot on except for Babalu.
