UFC 75: Michael Bisping vs. Ken Shamrock

Michael bisping

According to the fight network, Michal Bisping will be taking on MMA veteran Ken Shamrock at UFC 75 in London England. The fight hasn’t been confirmed by the UFC, but Wow. Really. Shamrock who retired from the UFC after his third loss to Tito Ortiz, will be fighting Bisping at UFC 75. I don’t know if I am more shocked at the news that Ken Shamrock will be returning to the CAGE or the news that the UFC will be giving Michal Bisping another “give me” fight.

Reported earlier this week, Ticket Master had been promoting Bisping taking on fellow The Ultimate Fighter cast member Matt Hamil. I guess will just have to wait till the UFC confirms the fight, before passing judgment.

Shamrock should retire, he has lost almost all of his fights in the last few years. Ur right, they are trying to hype up Bisping, and giving him a name to do it if this is true.

Bisping vs. Hamill is a really good fight, but one of these guys will take a hit from the loss, and the UFC makes more money off of two superstars than one.

Look at Forrest, he had one loss to a tough opponent and his momentum and name faded some. Same thing with Diego Sanchez, it seems like you go from being on top of the world to being a nobody with just one loss now. Cro Cop gets knocked out and all of a sudden he should think about retiring. All of a sudden Liddell is on his way down.

That is the only advantage I would give to boxing over MMA, for the most part it takes away the one punch KO. In MMA, everyone can get button punched and its lights out.

No suprise here. The UFC is all about money and Bisbing carries their popularity in Europe. As long as the UFC has a European superstar, they will continue to do well in Europe.

I've heard it all. What the Hell UFC, are you trying to ruin it for everyone. Bisping is an up & coming, please don't ruin it for me by puting that washed up dick head SHAMROCK in with this guy. It was bad enough that I was going to have to watch Hamil get smashed & go home crying, but I'd rather watch that cry baby than to ever see Shamrock back in the ring. What? Does he think he's Randy Couture?

I was so damn dissapointed by UFC 72 that you guys better come up with something good. My money will be a little harder to get next time.

Yeah, I think the UFC is making some stupid moves that you would expect in the WWE. In the WWE, you see your favorite wrestlers do their favorite moves and win in the end. Its hollywood and everyone goes home happy.

In the UFC it seems like they are displaying their fan favorites against human highlight reels. If I'm paying for this stuff I want the best against the best, period. I hate the fact that there is one good fight and the rest I can just look at their record or who they fought and know who is suppost to win. Its dumb.

Great , let Couture beat his stupid ass. All he wants is some of that money UFC is giving out these days & he's willing to get his ass beat for it.

I agree with you all that this is some sort of easy ride for michael, but i think your ignorant to the sport if you can hate on ken shamrock. i guess you have been around mma since the start of TUF, and not a real fan.

I watched Shamrock fight in the very beginning & I'm not taking anything away from what he has done in the past. The PAST is the point here. How many times I gotta see him get his ass beat & then talk his shit. I'm a fan from way back of MMA & I have a right to my damn opinion & just because I believe Shamrock is washed up Doesn't make me ignorant to the sport. I don't mind hearing your opinion but cut the name calling please. It's ok to disagree dude, I promise not to call you a dick head because you don't agree with me, K?!

I've watched Ken since UFC 1 and I agree that he can't compete at the top anymore. If he wants to fight some of the up and commers or average fighters thats fine. I think he should go to another orgainization where the competition is a little less tough.

Other than that I dont think I would have to have watched the old Ken to be able to comment on the fact that he hasn't been competitive in the past few years. In fact I wasn't a true true fan of MMA until I started training a few years back, and now I can appreciate all of what the sport has become.

Remember UFC 1 was just an experiment with people coming in with their specialties, but it took time for it to become a well rounded sport, a Mixed Martial Art. So as far as I'm concerned, just because someone didn't watch this sport rise, doesn't mean that they don't know anything about it.

If you look at Shamrocks record, I don't know if he was ever that dominant. He had some good wars and was a pioneer of MMA, but I don't think he was ever as good as people think he was.

its a good thing they called it off. Bisbing would stomp Shamrock. He sucks as a coach and as a fighter.

Shamrock should comeback to fight 185. I think he could still be competitive at that weight but 205 is just to much for him

BISPING SUCKS. PERIOD. Mat Hamil should be fighting Rashad! Mat Hamil was robbed! things i see wrong with the UFC

    1. ) the judging sucks! you have boxing judges.. Judging MMA! how???!!!

JUdge one: hmm he was taking him to the ground or floor.. what's that called again? a take down..but the other guy did punch him.. so me must have one! you need to bring some vets like they judges in PRIDE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS.. that is the only thing i would take from pride cause pride lost the battle to UFC.. (fighters, levels)

    These judges suck bro!!

any wrestler can just rest if he gets on his knees. wack!

Back in the beginning it wasn't just man against man, it was a test of the actual arts themselves, style against style. Kung Fu verses Muay Thai, Pit Fighter versus Boxer etc. to see which faired better against what..

and the guys doing it? there wasn't an up and comer among them, you were either hard enough, or you weren't. From across the globe, not just corners of the US with a token 'commie' or 'brit' thrown into the mix.

UFC has definitley started that slippery slope to WWE territory, arranged fights to bring about new stars/revenue etc. A transparently business-like organisation that is rapidly losing touch with reality.

Dana White should fight Randy, put his money where his smiling (whilst-not-quite-reaching-his-eyes) mouth is and settle up.

Tito does suck. Randy and Liddell kick ass.

Shamrock was an MMA GOD for years, top of the game from day one and not going out till his mid forties? c'mon, aint many doing that in this next generation.

Bisping's my boy, don't cuss him. He's worked hard to be where he is, you must have missed the fact that he was also Cage Warriors champion as well as TUF3 winner and a young Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing star. He's still young and supporting a family, just going where the money is, how many from UFC would leave in search of real fighters in places the likes of where Bisping emerged from?

Wow, I dont know why anyone would thats true. Ok so UFC 75 has been and gone and we all know who won the fight between Bisping and Hamill. I think the people who reported this got it mixed up between Ken Shamrock and his fighter from the Ultimate Fighter series. If Ken was to ever fight again it would be againt his number one rival and one of the best fighters in the world, and we all know who would win tah fight again.
