I dont know when people stopped hanging from Diegos nutsac and started hating him. But everyone seems to hate him now. I hate fans that boo fighters when they are putting it on the line. Fitch is the new welterweight posterboy and he did a great job. His balance is crazy and I can see why he was the Purdue wrestling champ. Good fight.

Tavares vs. Griffin will be the fight of the night. They are some physical freaks…loved that fight.

Shogun was nervous as hell. When you are in a fight and you are nervous, you gas much earlier. Too bad that happened to him but Forrest looked sick in this fight, he's got to be ranked now.

i thought Chuck edged out the third round. the only thing Jardine landed was leg kicks but Chuck landed the punches. you can tell because at the end of the third Jardine has blood all over his face and head, Chuck didnt have much damage at all. how the hell can you win when you are beat up to shit and bloodied. i dont blame the crowd for booing, jardine didnt deserve the decision, even though chuck didnt do good.

Forrest is the man and i was juming up and down when he won. he should get a title shot now.

I told everyone that Jardine has an iron head. He took about 5 hooks, a few straights, and about 3 knees directly form Houston Alexander before being dropped. I'd like to see him versus the other man of steel…Dan Henderson. Chuck, what the hell man. I say Wandy/ Jardine in December.

Oh yeah, Leet, I dont know what fight you were watching or if you had a few too many tonight, but Chuck lost the third pretty clearly to me.

Have you ever taken a leg kick? Have you ever had someone smash their shinbone right in the soft tissue between your leg muscles? Bet you havent. Those hurt like hell and Chuck took them like a champ…never changing to a southpaw stance like most fighters would do.

Chuck would have done much better with someone who bleeds easily…like Forrest, or someone that can be one-punched easily. I didnt think this was a good matchup for him at all.

Chuck is out of touch…He's one dimensional. All he does is look for that 1 knockout punch, meanwhile his oppenet scores points and inflicts damage. How many time do you need to be kicked in the side before you change things up, Chuck?

Made some good money again this time on Forest Griffin horrible gash in the guys eye socket looked like he was slashed with a steak knife, in all my pools and fantasy UFC I took Lidell but I am glad I didn't bet money on it cause I would have lost….overall was a pretty entertaining UFC.

In my eyes Jardine won that fight no problem….all 3 announcers were even stating before the judges scores that if it went to Lidell it would be ridiculous. 1st round Chuck made him run around the cage but Jardine uses leg kicks to slows chucks assaults and keep him confined. 2nd & 3rd round Jardine rocked Chuck more and controlled the fight much better.

Chuck screwed up becasue when he get punched he has a "what that hell" look on his face every time. it makes it look like he is being hit good, but hes not. Jardine did good but he only hit him with jab in the third. never taken a let kick but just like you said, Chuck took them and kept coming.

Scott you're right on there. He cane out one-dimensional and left one-dimensional. He's got to fight smarter. he let Rampage take him out of his comfort zone of counterpunching (btw he is one of the best ever counterpunchers) and now Jardine was able to keep him at bay and land those leg kicks. Chuck shoudl have gotten in close, maybe done some dirty boxing, and baited Jardine into receiving some short hooks…ala Houston Alexander.

Shoot, I wanted to be on this one. I would have lost Forrest but I would have won Jardine…he had crazy odds and I would have been paid. Do you guys bet online or do you just be among frineds. I want to know where to go online to bet, especially for the Silva/Franklin fight.

I can't stand it when the crowd boo's a fighter either. I lost my ass tonight betting but I've never felt better about it. I don't hate any fighter but I was glad to see Sanchez get beat again. Humble pie is good for the soul. Hopefully he'll come back a better fighter.

Forrest did so good!! Rua, I'm sure was a bit nervous, but he's been at this awhile & he looked to me like he gassed out. I expected more from him.

I still can't believe the Liddell fight. WOW! Oh, & since when is a fight won or lost on the amount of blood spilt. I didn't get that at all. Jardine was the clear winner of that fight.

Tavares- Griffin fight was really good but I thought the judges got that one wrong. Oh well !

Great night of fights all the way around!!!

I thought Griffin won that fight. You didnt? Going into it I thought Tavares would submit or pound Griffing out. Its a fight like that that lets you know who is really skilled. I say rematch, that was a great fight!

Griffin seems to be a physical freak like Kos and they are not easy to power or submit. I would like ot see Griffing vs. Stevenson now.

That crowd pissed me off, booing anyone who wasnt from Couture camp. Diego was class for the first time since he won Perisyan, when he first started getting cocky. I hope he comes back too, he is one of the most exciting fighters to watch in the UFC.

  16. Leet

Fitch manhandled Diego. Diego got put in his place, nuff said. that fight put smile on my face

I was banking on Rua and he let me down. What the hell, gassing in the third round. What is that guys problem. At least have enough endurance to make it into the third round. Hats off to Forrest, he is one of my favs, but I didnt give him enough respect here.

diego is a cocky, wierd dude. he got beat by kos and fitch pretty easily. i'm just glad people are starting to see that hes not really good and i'm glad fitch is stepping toward a title fight.

Between UFN 11, TUF 6, and this, it has been the best week of MMA since Randy won the Heavyweight Title from Silvia. I cant wait for UFC 77, I dont know how it could top this!

Hate to say it yall, but nows the time. Pride was full of 'Roided freaks and now that they are in the UFC, they are losing. Shogun, Gomi, CroCop, Henderson…they dont look the same huh. Why? Because the UFC test and has regulations, Pride didnt. Sorry to all those Pride bandwagon people, but without steroids, their heros are just plain old average fighters.

  21. st8

    September 23, 2007 at 12:20 pm

Agreed. I have watched the UFC for a long time and not followed Pride as closely. People were telling me that these Pride guys were going to come over and dominate the UFC. With the exception of Rampage, Pride fighters look like minor leaguers.
