UFC 88: Dan Henderson vs. Rousimar Palhares

According to MMAWeekly, Dan “Hollywood” Henderson will take on American Top Team fighter Rousimar Palhares at UFC 88, September 6 from the Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA.

Former PRIDE middleweight and light heavyweight title holder Dan Henderson has lost his last two bouts in the UFC, to title holders Anderson Silva and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

Palhares (8-1) is coming off his “Submission of the Night” win over Ivan Salaverry at UFC 84. The Brazilian is one of the top up and comers in the middleweight division.

    with all the match ups i would like to see dan in this is not one of them, henderson should win but this guy is dangerous and dan's loses usually come by submission's.i would prefer to see him fight franklin or move back up to 205.

    Tom… I agree this guy has very good BJJ… I don't think Dans last 2 loses mean all that much (lets face it he fought Rampage & Anderson Silva)…

    I'm a big Henderson fan (from his pride days) and there are other match ups out there that I woulda' preferred – Like Franklin, Bisping, Rob Macdonald, Ed Herman, Cote, Okami…

    I'm a little worried that Hendo might suffer… the same fate as Tito and Hughes (i.e Become too reliant on Wrestleing)

    Either way… I hope Hendo comes through with a win and gets another shot at Silva!

    just watched some you tube of palhares.. i think henderson better train hard. this is a tough match up for him, he should work takedown and submission defence and strking and try to keep it on the feet, in the clinch drity boxing..
