Chuck Liddell takes on undefeated Rashad Evans at UFC 88 on Sept. 6 from the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Ga.

God I hope Chuck wins. if he loses to Rashad then it's time he hangs it up. I thought the same when he lost to Jardine but then he comes back against Silva and I thought that maybe Silva was over the hill but then we all saw him kill Jardine so I bet Chuck still has a couple good years left.

I found a great "Chuck Liddell for President" shirt at PantherTees.com the other day. And if you enter the promo code you get 10% off. Check it out!

I still kind of think this ia going to be a hard fight for Liddell. Rashad is good on his feet. I'm not sure who I like better, but I think it will be a good fight.

Yeah I don't get why people think this is going to be an easy fight for Chuck. Rashad is undefeated for a reason. I just hope it doesn't go to the cards and one way or the other we get a KO.
August 22, 2008 at 1:39 pm
why are people always saying that he is undefeated? Ok I get it but he has a draw that should have been a loss and I also think Bisping beat him. Chuck hits way to hard for rashad and rashad is going to get stuffed on takedowns and then get KO'd. The reason ppl think this is an easy fight for is b/c it is. Rashad is a lil worse then tito in every aspect. Fights like him to. Yeah Rashad has knockouts but he has never fought a striker like Liddell before. Undefeated no more because I guarntee the refs dont take a point away from chuck no matter what he does.

I could see this one going either way. Evans is younger, stronger, and faster. I am not sure that Chuck could stop his takedowns like he has stopped others from taking him down. Plus while Rashad does not want to slug it out, he can surprise you on his feat. His head kick is still a highlight knockout. On other hand, Chuck is successful at stopping taking downs and he could end the fight at any time with a knockout. I would like to see Chuck win because I am not a fan of Evans. I am tired of successful (in terms of wins) but boring fighters. Evans is one of those. The others include Frankie Edgar, Tyson Griffin, and even Sean Sherk. I know it is hard to just win a match…but come on, try and end it. ont justy take guy down and lay on him. You would think it has ever occured to any of these guys to learn submissions? Hello, in case anyone did not tell you guys…you can end the fight before it goes 15 minutes!

#6 is a nice comment. All I can say is Chuck better have a new gameplan for this fight. Rashad's teammate Jardine had a good gameplan and won that fight. I'll bet you Rashad is going to do the same thing, keep it standing, and outpoint Chuck.
August 22, 2008 at 4:19 pm
wow u guys give Rashad way too much credit before he knocked out Salmon he was losing the fight. He has never fought ne1 great yet and even an older chuck will show exacty how bad Rashad really is. Saying Rashad is good standing and can surprise udoesnt really matter when he is fighting a guy that he doesnt want to go toe to toe with. He was outwrestled by Tito and Tito couldnt take Chuck down at all except for that Trip that chuck got right back up from. There is really nothing to consider. I am sick of everyone being afraid who to pick to win. Dont cover ure bases by saying the obvious like rashad can knock u out with a kick or take u down and KO u like he did against Lambert. Just say what u think is going to happen b/c the ppl on here should know what guys can do.Also Rashad cant fight like Jardine. He dont throw many leg kicks and he is not good at sticking and moving like Jardine.

Well Steve, since you are the expert, maybe we should call this Steve'sCageToday.com…I will always turn to you when I am confused, Oh, MMA Guru. LOL
I am not saying that Evans is great. In fact if you knew how to read, you could how I criticize him for being a boring fighter. The fact is that he is pretty good at what he does, take his opponent down and lay on him. In his prime, Chuck would be the hands down winner. The reality is he is coming off 3 tough fights where he has been knocked out or the fight has gone the distance. Chuck is not what he used to be. He is not as quick nor does he have the element of surprise as he used to. And while he was never a poster boy for conditioning, he is not any younger, meaning his wind is not what it used to be and it was never that good. "people here should know what what guys can do"..that coming from the same guy that asked why everyone keeps saying that Evans is undefeated. You know why, because he has no loses, Idiot. When you have not lost, you are undefeated. A tie is a tie and not a lose . Before you get critical of other, know what your talking about Einstein! I hope Chuck wins because if Evans wins, it will be a 3 round boring fight. I was just trying to say that this is not going to be an easy fight for either fighter. If you are so great at "knowing what people can do", explain how Chuck lost to Jardin, Chuck beat Silva, and then Silva knocked out Jardine…anything can happen. Chuck has the potential of knocking him out by connecting with a shot at any minute but unless he does that, I don't Chuck just picking him apart or winning a decision.

cmon steve, salmon was no where near winning that fight. that is unless you count points for his karate kid kick that was about 5 feet away from rashads face.
chuck has the advantage in this fight but its not going to be a cake walk for him.

You know, a lot of people said Hughes was going to walk through Alves, but lok what happened there. It's a good point, Chuck hasn't finished a fight in a while. Like almost 2 years. It is absolutely possible that this fight could go either way. That's why I personally can't say who I think would win. They both have their strong points. I kind of see Liddell being sort of a one dimensional fighter, kind of like Hughes.

U make big of a deal about him being undefeated as u robally did Diego Sanchez u moron. Look what happened when he fought the better guys. He loses. And the point I was making about rashad dumbfuck was that HE should have LOST to TITO and Bisping. So dont keep using the undefeated line. He barely and i mean barely beat Bisping. And you think he can come in and beat Chuck? Wow tht makes a lot of sense. NOT. Just wanted to point out how fucking stupid u are for saying chuck has a good chance at losing in this fight.
August 24, 2008 at 10:14 am
i think this will be a good fight and chuck will win it. i think steve is an asshole who doesnt know how to talk like an adult. why cant u respect peoples oppinions and leave all the hate and nasty remarks out of it. it just shows ur own insecurities. i do agree with u tho that tito won against rashad. i dont think that bisping won against rashad tho. i think chuck still has what it takes to make one last run at the title tho.
August 26, 2008 at 8:55 am
i agree withe steve. 100%! rashad is a chump and will never be a grade a fighter. you guys compair rashad with tito and yet still fail to realize chuck beat a even better wrestler in randy. all of chucks sucess has been with wrestlers that can "suprize you with striking". lmao. your a striker or your not. get a grip and realize that this is another day at training for chuck. and the whole gone the distance or knocked out thing. look at chucks past fights. decisions, tko'ed, then seven straight tko's. come on kids chuck is not washed up and is still in his prime. there are bumps in every fighters road. you've gotta driver over them before you get to the smooth part. chuck is hungry and knows what will happen if he dosent treat every fight as if he cant loose and it is gonna be easy. jardine case and point.

Grow up Steve. Get a life. Do something else…don't just on the internet all day. Talk to girls. Go and find a gym somewhere. Stress is a killer. There really is whole big world outside of your parent's basement. Where you picked on as kid? You possibly still are…OK, that explains it. Just relax a little. It will be alright. Ask mommy, she'll tell you the same thing. Thanks

i dont know if you guys vote or not but if you look to the right of your screen you will see chuck liddell is winning the votes with 72% tko at this time and in second 9% liddell decision.i dont know how everyone says it will be close but 72% of the fans on this website say liddell will ko evans. we will just have to see what happens
September 6, 2008 at 2:40 pm
Goodnight Chuck. Ouch, were Liddell fans so it wasnt easy to watch that. I think when he came to he was hoping to continue fighting, he can't be feeling good about that loss. I hope he still fights after that, he needs to go out on top.
Does anyone know what Evans shirt was all about? Who was on it? Looked like a mugshot.
September 7, 2008 at 12:24 am
The shirt was Bill Gates mug shot from when he was a kid getting booked on a traffic violation. CLASSIC!
September 7, 2008 at 12:53 am
Yeah, that's what it was, but….WHY???
September 7, 2008 at 3:21 am
its from when he was in Albq, NM. the oG start of Microsoft and Greg Jacksons camp for fututre champions…
September 7, 2008 at 5:44 am
I get it that Gates got booked in New Mexico and thats where Jackons gym is. But I don't see any other connection. Still don't get the joke.
September 7, 2008 at 6:01 am
i know that microsoft is trying to market themselves to the younger crowd. i wouldnt put it past them to sponsor a fighter from the same neighborhood where they started. seeing gates in a mug shot changes they way you think of his image and it would be good marketing.
