Dos this fight really need an in depth look? Silva by brutal fatality in Rd 1.

Ian, you're right, and its 4 minutes on in depth. I think I can safely say that everyone thinks Silva will take it. Like I said before though, wouldn't it be some shit if Cote totally rocks Silva? I think the world will stand still.
just another mma dud

I like Cote and I think he is a good, underated fighter. Here's hoping he doesn't get killed by Silva at the touching of the gloves. I think Silva is so much better that Cote might just get knocked out at the weigh-in's. Winner? Silva by mega-kung fu soul punch at -14 seconds of round one.

Your right Ryan, This seems like the first time that everyone is in agreement that it's a no brainer – Silva destroys him. This could be the upset of the decade………………….mmmm…..probably not though.
I love how Dana and Joe are both like…. yeah he's good with a big heart but……..

Cote hasn't been knocked out but who has he fought? Seriously! If Cote wins it will be a bigger shock then Serra beating GSP.

I could defeat both of them if we were to fight with glass on our fists!

i agree that silva is going to win but you guys are way underestimating cote. when's the last time you saw silva shoot for a takedown. he's not going to do that. and cote is strong on his feet and has ko power. i think it's going to be a good standing fight.
September 27, 2008 at 2:41 pm
Silva won't need to shoot! lol Like I said, who has Cote really fought before? No1 close to Silva! Silva rocked Henderson when Rampage couldn't. You think he won't rock Cote?

Not to mention, how many ground fighters has he gone against and come out on top with either a knockout or a submission? Plenty

Cote bleeds like Mylee!

I dont think anything will be as big of a shock to me as seeing GSP lose to Serra. That sucked lol. Rampage can rock Hendo he just didnt. You cant compare what somebody does aginst someone when styles are so different. Cote can rock Silva. I just hope he doesnt quit at the weigh ins like Irvin did. Let me elaborate. Irvin looked at fighting Silva as a way to fight the best knowing he would lose. You cant think your gonna lose and come in and win. Irvin was scarred and as soon as he got hit he was done. IMO irvin is a punk and Cote may b no different. But if ur scarred get the fuckoutta the ufc. Im sick of people not trying to strike with him. Sure they try and stand with him but only to get it to the ground or they dont do what they are good at standing b/c they are scarred to get hit. Silva is like Chuck was. He looked unbeatable standing but as soon as someone puts him down you will see people have actual bad intentions throwing at him. I hope Cote loses just so we get to see what A. Silva can do at LHW. I dont think he will do as good as some of u think.

This fight is going to suck, because Silva is going to destroy him. I think Dana should let Silva fight Forrest Griffin for the light heavy weight title. Even then Silva would win.
I just think Silva has mastered his division so well its time for him to destroy everyone on the light heavy weight division.

Steve, I can compare Silva rocking Dan while Rampage didn't plus he did it within 2 rounds while Rampage didn't in 5. I don't believe Silva hits harder, he's just really accurate with his striking. Plus Dan hasn't been knocked out and he's fought top guys where Cote hasn't been KO'd and hasn't fought top guys. That's another comparison I CAN make. Irvin wasn't scared, he was rocked… did you see that punch in slow mo? What could he have done at that point? As for Silva looking like Chuck did at one point, that's true in a alot of ways but I think Silva stands out more and can finish people in more ways then just a KO. Time will tell if he can move to LHW and dominate there… hope he can!
