Why is Grey being called a contender here? Why is he held in such High regard?

Who has he fought to be even considered top ten?

He's done nothing but Lay 'n' prey a few low card fighters.

After THIS fight He MIGHT be considered a contender… MAYBE.

frankie edgar- was undefeated and had beaten tyson griffin who is world class, mar bocek who is a goo fighter, dominated spencer fischer who was on track to gettign a title shot and then maynard dominated frankie and stopped his unbeaten streak. frankie jsut beat hermes who faught for the title a little over a year ago. frankie is top notch man and could main event a card easily.

Rich clementi- was on a four fight winnign streak and beat melvin, sam stout, anthony johnson, and terry etim. he's not the cream of the crop but a damn good win that solidifies maynards place in the division. rich is jits wiz on the ground and was taylor made to submitt whrestlers and he had nothing for maynard.

Gray has a shitty attitude sometimes and is cocky but give the guy credit he's unbeaten in sanctioned fights and is only getting better. i'd love to see him rematch diaz i think he could give diaz a lot of problems but it could go either way.

Who cares if maynard has beaten two solid fighters. He is boring and until he adds some new dimensions to his game, no mma fan would pay UFC money to watch him in a main event. He has talent but he sucks to watch. I DVR past his fights when watching PPV's.

we werent talking about if he was excitting or not miko said he wasnt a contender. Machida is boring as fuck a lot of times so is rashad. doesnt mean it should hurt their rankings.

Josh I agree and no point agruing if he is a contender since the UFC puts in who can draw the most PPV buys in title fights its safe to say Gray isnt top 3 in that category in LW yet. Give him a solid KO or run though of a fighter and then maybe he will build fans but Josh is right he doesnt have the fans to get a title shot. Not against someone like BJ.
