good to see shogun training hard hopefully he brings a full gas tank this time. he's lucky his first fight with chuck got canceled cuz coleman was definetly a gift. im hoping for a war like chuck vs wandy. i want both to look good so we can see both in the octagon again.

Hey Dane dont under estimate shogun skills i can see you dont know much about him but i have followed his carreer since Pride and he will win this fight , he is a all around fighter , has great submission skills and has good stand up . where as chuck only has standup. good luck for your fighter.

you see i dont know much about him? Hmm… ok?? ive followed him since his pride days too. he was awesome in pride but has sucked dick for the last 3 years. he's still young and should bounce back. i hope he does. judging from his last two fights however and the way his training partner/brother ninja has been performing chuck is the favorite for a reason. This fight could go either way im just going with chuck based on recent performances you dont have to get butt hurt over it. on sherdog the pros picked chuck over shogun 19-2 aswell so i dont think im the only one going with chuck. shoguns 27 and was the worlds number 1 205'er in the world for awhile but he seems be be following in vitor belforts foosteps… hopefully he can keep following vitor and make a big comeback like belfort is doing.

i got shogun as well but i would not blame anyone for picking chuck he should be the favorite in this one and its shogun that has more to prove right now i just hope he can do it.andre i agree that shogun has way more tools than chuck but he needs the cardio to use them i hope he is ready.

Chuck is gonna keep his hands down like always and all the talk from him about working on defense is not gonna show. He will do what he has always done and thats keep his hands at his waist. This is gonna lead to him getting his ass beat by the better fighter who is shogun. Chuck is suppose to be one of the best strikers of all time in the ufc but who has he actually beat strking that is even considered above good at striking? This is why I dont root for chuck. I knew rampage was gonna rape him in the rematch. Rashad KO'd him. Jardine outstruck him. I mean the only reason people think he has a chance against Shogun is b/c shogun hasnt shown up in shape for a ufc fight yet. But against a name like Liddell this is gonna be his fight. He is finally healthy after his knee surgery and he will be good to go. If he is not this post is gonna make me look like a jackass:)

steve how do u know shogun is finally in shape? u got the inside scoop? seems like he was saying how he was so excited to finally show the fans what hes really made out of when he faught coleman. I cant wait for chuck to prove you all wrong.

you may be right, but i will stick with shogun.you can jump back on the bandwagon once he starts winning again.:)

If shogun actually shows up in shape this could be a war but if he gasses he is gonna get ktfo. Chuck has actually left the pit and is working out elsewhere so I'm excited to see how much his hands have improved I honestly don't think this fight is gonna go to the ground cause they're both looking to make a BIG impact so this is gonna end in a knockout…. I guess I'll pick chuck by KO sorry shogun

i would have had to have BEEN on the shogun bandwagon to jump back on and i never have been lol but i do think he is a great fighter and hope he regains his old form. I just dont wanna see chucky go yet.

i hear ya,i hope they both have a good showing and a war so neither really loses.
April 17, 2009 at 9:08 am
i have said for a long time chucks striking is not the greatest, its good but i saw him get out strouk a number of times it was just that he could take theres and they could not take his, he would eat a few to knock you out so he didn’t have to work on it for a long time it might be to little to late now.that stratogy will not work any more with his chin taking a beating and maybe lost some speed too.

I hope Shogun trains like this for his next fight aswell. Whoever it is against. He looked in real good shape.

i will admitt i picked this one wrong. i went with my heart and hoped chuck could fight getting old like i think a lot of people hoped he could. Shogun proved me wrong and i think he could be number 1 in the world again if he keeps up what he's doing.
