UFC 98: Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir 2

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will get another crack at Frank Mir at UFC 98 on May 23 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to MMAMania.

Mir and Lesnars first fight at UFC 81 “Breaking Point” ended with Mir grabbing hold of an ankle, after taking a barrage of punches and submitted the former WWE superstar with a kneebar early in the first round.

i dont know how you can say brock dominated all his mma fights because mir tapped his big ass out in 1st rd. . Against Randy brock got lucky and landed a good punch and some would say that is a fluke, and randy will take care of him next time if there is a next time and mir dosent break his arm.How do you get a title shot when you come into the ufc and go 1-1 he should have to prove himself first and make him climb that ladder everyone else has to. Even if brock does get by mir, which i dont think will ever happen, but if it does brock still wont be considered one of the best heavyweights he will never get by fedor. the end!

    March 1, 2009 at 3:18 am

I would say he was winning the fight when he tapped. I can't really say the punch against randy was lucky because the rampages punch against wand (eyes closed watch the tape) or even rashads ko of chuck was lucky. Its not lucky if you miss and get counter punched out. Even if Fedor does come to the ufc (never gonna happen if it hasn't yet) he would probably be better suited at 205, so many super fights there millions would pay to see plus it wouldn't even be a hard cut for him since he looks chubby at like 230.

the interesting thing is that brock isn't going to be as agressive because he has more experience and will be more calm in the ring. kind of like he was in the couture fight.

mir will have about 5 more rounds of footage to look at and i'm sure he will be able to get a better gameplan together. i think its going to go 2 or 3 rounds and mir is going to win.

Lesnar was destroying Mir in their first fight so easy, honestly Lesnar's destroyed everyone.. the refs didn't wanna see UFC's son Mir lose to one of the best, intense up and coming fighters Lesnar. But this time will be different, Lesnar wins it TKO in 1st round. Lets hope Lesnar makes Mir's face look like Heath Herring's (after he fought Brock)! Lesnar 4 life!

fedor will never fight at 205 he is perfect at heavyweighyt! Seriously how could you say fedor at 205 alot of people that drop weight look worse. What do you actually think herrings face was worse than what fedor did to him in the prime of herrings carreer? Everyone underestimates fedor and than he comes out and beats people fast. brock may be big but he has never taken a punch from fedor and no nmatter what anyone says there is noone in ufc that can hit like fedor not even your precious Brock. Lets see if Brock can even make it past Mir before everyone starts to say he is the best heavyweight remeber his record is 3-1 not exactly impressive.

    March 4, 2009 at 2:24 am

Jimmy you can say whatever you want but I don't think Fedor fights cause he likes it he does it to make alot of money otherwise he would have been in the ufc along time ago. He's in it to make money and other than randy and lesnar there are no other fights for him at heavy that most would care about, hes already beat nog what 3 times, cro cop too, maybe a fight with Kongo but 205 is stacked and there are alot of fights that would make a shitload of money and thats what, dana, the fertitas, the ufc, and most of all fedor are about, MAKING MONEY!

  8. roy

    March 4, 2009 at 3:15 am

i really don't think fedor is about the money, maybe his managers but not him go look at how he lives. i see your point about dropping weight but since he is not about the money it doesn't make sense since people usually drop weight to get a advantage and he is already the best hw in the world so why drop down.all he needs to do is beat barnett go to the ufc and fight the champ and retire the best that ever lived.

  9. jimmy

    March 4, 2009 at 8:44 am

fedor had a dispute with dana's offer cause he wants to get paid even if he gets hurt. he is the best in the world you pay for what you get. I'm not to worried about Josh Barnett Fedor has already beaten him once and maybe even twice. My whole point is that if Dana really wants to prove to everyone that his new heavyweight is the best in the world then give Fedor a contract for one fight so we can see who is the best. The real fact is that everyone who says brock has been destroying everyone in all his fights is just wrong Randy was handling his big ass just fine until he got those punches in and even after that i feel the ref called it a little to soon cause randy was a little stunned but brock ran out of gas awfuly fast, and in the 1st mir fight it dosent matter that brock came in and was hitting him all over cause he tapped out mir didnt quit from punches but big ol brock tapped out. No one knows for sure how brock will do in this sport he only has 4 fights in one of which he lost. remeber brock couldnt even make it on the vikings practice squad in the NFL so i dont think he will be going anywhere quick, but when mir does tap his big ass out again what are you gonna say then? If mir did get lucky like what everyone is saying what does that say about royce gracie? He always took a beating but ended up tapping them out.

  10. roy

    March 4, 2009 at 8:59 am

i agree with some of what you said but your are wrong about alot of things, first fedor and barnett have never fought, second go look how fedor lives he does not care about the money, third i am not a brock fan but he will beat the shit out of mir.

  11. roy

    March 4, 2009 at 9:01 am

your right about brock only having 4 fights and we really don't know how good he really is yet, but that should also show you that it was not that impressive for mir to beat him in only his 2nd fight than.

    March 4, 2009 at 9:18 am

Jimmy, you obviously dont know shit about lesnar or MMA. First off Lesnar made the Vikings Practice Squad as he even played in a few practice games one notably against the Chiefs where he got a bit to crazy and sacked the quarterback and your not suppose to go full contact in practice games, he wiegh in at 300lbs ran the 40 in under 5 seconds and had a vertical leap of over 40inches which is oustanding for man of his size. He got cut from the squad because of his failure to show up due to medical reasons from a motorcycle accident, they offered him a spot on the now defunct NFL europe which he turned down and stated i have already accomplished my goal of making thi team and playing for anthing else wouldnt be the same. Sorry but i had to say that and yes its true go see any freakin sports articled that covered his attempt on the NFL. even read his bio on wikepedia.

Second off, Lesnar has dominated every fight he demolished Mir in the first one and made a rookie mistake and it will not happen again. Mir can not match up to his power or quickness or his overall athletic ability, now i do see Mir having an edge on subs but based upon how the first fight ended i dont think Lesnar will put himself in that situation again and while Mir may have gotten better he sure as hell is no where near the overall athlete of lesnar's caliber meaning strenght, power, quickness.

Funny thing is you didnt mention the Herring fight….Hmm could be because he physically dominated him to the point were one punch broke his orbital bone?

The randy fight was a bit closure but he still dominated it and you say a lucky punch WTF so i guess every punch is lucky that KO;'s someone, if you knew anything about MMA you would know that no punch is lucky its calling timing and not to mention the punch that KO's randy grazed him and to think that a grazed punch Ko'd him…thats pretty good sure Lesnar has weaknessesand is not the best HWGHT but he has alot of potential but understand this and read it…Lesnar has only 3 total years of training so far and that is what all the hype on him is about the fact that he can come into MMA and dominate like he has…face it or not he dominated all his fights with the borderline couture fight which randy was the perfect fight for him as Lensar is basically a bigger Couture.

Lesnar got his title fight in his 4th fight, there are many others who had there title fight in there 4th fight one being Couture another being Anderson Silva. So to say he didnt deserve it can be debated but he isnt the first. i dont think he should of gotten it so soon due to his inexperience but it was all about the money.

Bottom line Lesnar is not the best HWGHT but he sure has the potentaial to be and he should have no problem in defeating Mir this time.

Oh and sorry i just had to write it. roy i agre about Fedor as he has stated multiple times how he loves competition and loves to compete but i do think in there the money comes in play wether its him or his mangement but i would bet thats its his mangement.

If brock was that good in football the vikings would have signed him wouldnt they! The Herring fight wasnt very impressive to me cause he didnt finish him if he is as bad as you say he is then he wouldve finished him! Theres no way you can say he ran through mir cause MIR WON THE FIGHT! To say he deserved a title shot after his fourth fight is fuckin stupid. Anderson Silva came from pride where he established himself as a good fighter and it wasnt his fourth fight in the sport, and Randy had to fight more than 1 person in one night to get his title shot! All Brock is in ufc is danas new bodyguard and when frank Mir breaks his fuckin arm than maybe that will prove to everyone how overrated brock is. Like you want me to look at wikepedia for the truth that was a pretty stupid comment to make. I may have been wrong about the barnett fight with fedor and i do apologize for that, but who in the heavyweight divison hasnt fedor fought besides Randy and Josh. Brock is a fluke and will always be a fluke and a wwf wrestler to me! To say that Fedor is just in it for the money well who in the fuck isnt in it for the money and for the fight even brock is in it for the money otherwise he would just fight for free right. You sure did say alot and not mean shit!

jimmy it sounds like ur not even giving brock a chance saying he will always be wwe is ignorant as fuck. ken shamrock was wwe. some people unlike you can be good at more than just one thing. brock would have been in the NFL if it wasnt for his motorcycle accident. He made it to NFL Europe but turned it down. His stats were off the charts and practically the best in the camp. do u know how hard it is to get in the NFL if u hadnt played since highschool? its practically unheard of… but im sure mir could do it… pllleeeeeaaaseee. Brock didnt deserve the the title shot but he made the most of it and knocked randys head off. you nor anyone else has the right to be pissed at him for that. anyone would ahve taken the title shot if given the chance. now he has the title so people like u need to deal with it. And saying the herring fight wasnt impressive because he didnt finish him is laughable. Ya uz herring is so easy to finish right? tyhats why in all of his many fights herring has only been finished by fedor and crocop. You my friend are wrong on so many levels.

  16. dane drebin

    March 4, 2009 at 1:39 pm

oh and nog submitted him with an anaconda choke i forgot about that but most of his losses to high level opponents were by decision. a dominating decision win over herring in ur third fight is very impressive no matter how u look at it.

so what your saying is that brock turned down the NFL seriously who does that especially if he was half as good as you say. Brock is a good at being big and fast but i dont see him evolving into a great mma champ. What Brock is is todays news and soon there will be another flavor. Frank dosent have to impress me by going to play football i watched him break peoples bones, and also Frank himself was in a bike accident and he also had to bounce back from that. You guys dont give Frank enough credit he climbed up the ranks he fought some of the best to be where he is and he never officially lost his title it was taken from him cause of the motorcycle accident. Im not a band wagon fan im not gonna automatically jump on Brocks nuts cause he hasnt proven himself to me yet when he does ill be sure to let all of you guys know. Frank is not my favorite fighter but he has been around for awhile and it pisses me off when i hear people not give him his credit like HE was lucky to beat Brock. Brock tapped and prematurily if you asked me, he was tapping before Frank even fully had the move locked in. Brock may be a great fighter someday im not saying that but im also not gonna say he is one now. all you guys have to do is watch part 2 of mir and lesnar and when lesnar does tap out and i trully feel he will than dont go crying saying he got luckey o.k .

    March 4, 2009 at 2:15 pm

I agree Jimmy. I wouldn't hate brock so much if people weren't on his nuts so much. But people are saying he's the greatest thing…after four fights to his name…wtf? You know i'll be rooting for Mir May 23rd when I'm at the MGM grand…Royce Gracie said it best: Size/Strength and Speed mean nothing if you don't have technique as a fighter. I'm hoping Lesnar evolves as a fighter because he IS explosive, but I hope he gets some good experience (and when I say experience i mean a broken limb from Mir) and recovers and tries to perfect his game. But what the hell do i know, he might kill Mir in the ring, become the poster boy for UFC and never lose another fight in his life, bully his way to become senator of Minnesota and eventually win the presidency of the United States based on how much shit he can talk to the other canidate. Lesnar/White 2016!

(I think i might have to off myself if that becomes true.)

    March 4, 2009 at 2:36 pm

Lesnar is not a fighter that needs motivation. The guy lives in a secluded area and lives to train and perfect his sport. I don't like how he got a title shot with so little experience but he proved that he could hang with Couture and get a win.

Brock represents a new breed of Heavyweight that is not just physically gifted like a Couture, but he has a size and strength that is at the limit of the division. Thats the difference. Add to that his speed and background in wrestling and you've got the UFC HW Champ.

  20. jimmy

    March 4, 2009 at 3:10 pm

al your the man lesnar/ white 2016! If your saying being secluded and knowing how to wrestler is a new breed of fighter than matt hughs is also a new breed of fighter right. I feel a new breed of fighter is someone like georges st.pierre or anderson silva people willing to change the way they fight and train with the best in the world not someone that becomes a hermit and only lets people in their gym if they like them or not. To be the best you have to train with the best. For me Brock is way to cocky and annoying. When Brock beat Randy i was pissed but Randy is 40 something years old and he did give Brock a run for his money im just interested to see how Brock handles the rest of his career i feel he needs to be humbled and hopefully Frank is the one that does. Everyone has that one fight that humbles them, well maybe not Fedor but he is humble enough already. Who knows Brock could lose this fight go back really start to evolve his game and dominate the rest of his life or he could win this fight dominate for awhile never evolve his game and come against Fedor and get his ass handed to him. There are people who never evolve their game like Chuck, and Hughes, and royce Gracie, and they have all paid for it and we have seen it so you cant argue with that. But Lesnar/White 2016 4 sure!

    March 4, 2009 at 3:55 pm

Jimmy if u read what i wrote brock turned down being in the NFL EUROPE not the NFL. Look it up man what i said i didnt pull out of my ass its fact but believe what you want. I'm not hating on mir in any way. i think mir is awesome i just think brock will beat him. theres a winner and a loser in every fight and my pick for this fight is brock due to watching the last fight where brock was working him over before getting subbed. i think brocks sub defense will be way better and i think he will have improved more drastically than mir. Add on his size and strength advantage and its not that crazy of a prediction. A lot of people agree with me. You are the one hating on brock because you hate the wwe or brock for some wierd reason. You wanna talk about how cocky brock is frank was just as cocky on the ultimate fighter so i dont really understand that arguement.

  22. Al

    March 4, 2009 at 5:54 pm

yea dane your right, there both cocky and think very highly of themselves, but one has a little bit more right to be that way then the other, you decide here.

Mir came into the UFC at a young age, won a few, lost one, then went on a winning streak and broke sylvia's forearm to get the title. While the title holder he got in a bad motorcycle crash leaving him with the doctors opinion that he would never walk again. Went through a hell of a rehab and got back in the octagon. Once he got back he was going through some head games with himself and lost two of three fights. He then realized to be the best he had to be the best frank mir he could be…then showed us with two submission wins, and one of the best performances of his career to win back a belt he lost in the octagon. Now he's cocky.

Lesnar went through college, became a pro wrestler, got tired with it, then he's all about football being his calling, couldn't make it there. So now lets give mma a shot. after a questionable call to give him a title shot after three pro fights, he wins the title from an aging Randy Couture. I love Randy and he was controlling that fight until he got grazed and went down. Now through four mma fights i've never seen anyone as cocky as him.

I'm going to give this one to mir. If Lesnar wasn't such a cocky bitch after less pro fights then i have amatuer fights, maybe I wouldn't be as down on him. Maybe a little humbling comments from him, but no. I hope he gets his ass pounded in and a wake up call. That saying I bet he is working extremely hard, and I hope he is training as hard as he runs his mouth, and if he is, man he's going to be one tough asshole to beat.

  23. Al

  25. Tim

    March 5, 2009 at 2:38 am

Jimmy…what the hell are you talking about Lesna/white 2016…Dude you have absolutly no credibility or purpose being on here with your idiotic and stupid comments…get your facts before you write you. Brock is NCAA national wrestling champion in the big ten as a HWGHT…do you know how hard it is to wrestle at a Div 1 school and be an all american, runner up and national champion with a record of 106-5 with never beign pinnned…thats fucking amazing get over his WWE days cause before he made tha decision it was the olympics or $$$$ i am sorry but no man would turn down instant millions at such a young age over trying out for the olympics. Then he got tired and worn out from the traveling and pain from wrestling every night and he decided to pursue the NFL which shocked many for not playing since HS and although he was gifted with his natural abilities having not played since HS made difference in his overall play and while he was eventuallly cut he was the LAST MAN CUT from the practice squad due to a motocycle injury and they offererd him a spot on NFL europe which he declined and while he didnt make it in the NFL him even trying to was a major accomplishment as he did make the practice squad during preseason and that is making the team in a sense.

I dont know why you are so against brock and i dont care but you need to realize that Brock is perfect for MMA right now and can do very well and has the potential to become one the greatest HWGHTS of all time down the road. He is still young and inexperience with only 3 years of Total MMA time and 4 fights but his overall athletic ability and skills is what sets him apart and puts people in the situation to give him respect and to see where he can go from here on out wether you agree with it or not plus he is a money maker due to his exposer over the world. Lesnar still needs to develop more but give him time he has only been training for 3 years with 4 fights.. i never said he deserved his title fight my griend i stated that i didnt think he deserved it so early…go back and read my comments, Jimmy your as dumb as nails for even making such silly comments which you clearly no nothing about and just hate the man for no such reason only fro mwaht i can see is that you see some ex WWE fake wrestler come in and demolish his opponents in MMA. Anyways Mir is the most cockiest fighter ever the man said he was going to demolish Lesnar the first fight and while he sneaked out a victory against an unexperienced fighter at the time which in my book isnt all the great to beat a rookie as its excpected Mir got rocked and thrown around like a ragdoll which gave him much promise in this sport even though he lost the fight and while you think Lesnar tapped early you again obviously dont understand MMA or submisions and damage a knee bar can do to you…Mir had it locked in tight and while he could of struggled for bit longer and possibly could of broken out of it its not worth it as it was his rookie debut and what good would it be if he went another 10 or 30 seconds struggling to get out and then tear something and be out a year…..its not worth it and Lesnar made the right decision to tap, he put on a great performance and in MMA you win some you lose some but you always want to live to fight another day. The knee while strong is also weak especially if someones hipps are wrapped around it and pulling back on it you can easily tear a ligament. Mir is a BJJ blackbelt and to have beaten a rookie was no big deal but the fact that lesnar dominated him for 80 seconds of the 90 proved to many that he has talent.

Bottom line, your full of nothing my friend but your comments are your own and your entitled to have them. all i have to say is when Lesnar beats the living hell out of Mir dont cry to hard.

  26. jimmy

    March 5, 2009 at 4:37 am

Well you said 2 stupid things first of all he was CUT from the nfl cause someone else was better than him right not because he turned them down. To say i dont know mma cause i dont know brock is fuckin retarted brock is not mma brock is a wrestler plane and simple, and if you have read any of what i said, i said brock could be a great fighter in the FUTURE he just has to be humbled! To say Frank snuck in an stole the win from him well im sorry this isnt wwe and every fight isnt fixed but submissions are part of the game and people use them in order to win if they are losing standing up. The only person who sounds like a fuckin idiot is YOU. Instead on watching wwe all those years you should have been watching mma, which i have since i was in the 7th grade and i am now 29 so piss off. Frank is cocky your absolutely right but dont you think he has the right rember he has never lost his title in the octagon and he had to climb up the ranks to achieve what he has dana didnt just give him anything. Brock reminds me of Tito Ortiz Dana gave him all the easy fights and made Chuck fight all the hard ones. Who knows how good Brock will be in the future and he isnt really that young he is over 30 right.

What kind of comment is he didnt want to break a bone so he tapped prematurily. Champs dont tapp! Espcially when it is a knee bar its one of the easiest moves to get out of and if he wouldve been training to become one of the best he wouldve known that he dosent want to EVOLVE. Well soon we will see if he really wants to evolve wont we and i hope not to hear any more of your nut swinging about brock. I mean damn are you wearing brock underwear jackin it to a brock poster then take your time out to bring your crap in here?

I said Frank is not my favorite fighter im just sick hearing people say brock is gonna run through Frank he didnt do it in the first fight and i dont see him doing it again, because when frank put him in that knee bar he tapped quick so whats gonna happen when brock gets put in an arm bar or triangle choke or rear naked choke? Frank is a black belt in ju jitsu! Before brock got LUCKEY with his graze against a 40 something year old randy what did he hold a fuckin stupid wwe heavyweight belt!

Hey when you get brocks cock out of your hands im interested to see what your dumb ass is gonna come up with next and before you say anything think does brock have a chance against Fedor even if it was for MONEY? HELL FUCKIN NO!

Lesnar is one of my favs but as Roy knows i didnt just jump on the bangwagon i never really cared to watch his WWE or fake wrestling. i knew of lesnar way before his WWE days as he was in minnesota training for his NCAA title when i was up there at J robinsons wrestling camp training for my CIF run. I am not saying i know the guy but to see someone you saw and trained around with become a international stare and then to go into MMA the sport you love to watch i cant help but be in favor of him. Not to mention what he has accomplished in such little time in MMA.

Your point make no sense sure he was cut by the vikings yeah someone was better than him but that doesnt take away from the fact that he had never played football since HS and he was 28 at the time i believe and he impressed alot of scouts and sports analysts not to mention he was the last man cut and they only cut him because they stated he needed another year in training camp before he could start so they wanted him to go to NFL europe read the articles i dont make shit up Jimmy…your just such a hater its ridiculous and to say that Brock didnt walk all over Mir is retarded…re watch the fight what the fuck took place for 80 seconds oh ya lesnar beating Mir ass, dude are you kidding me everyone knows that a knee bar is one the most painfull holds and hardest holds to get out of if itssunk in….i am not going to debate that shit anymore cause anyone who wants to coninue there career will tap if they cant get out of a sub within a mere few seconds its not worth ruining your body and career over that…

So your calling Couture a piece of crap too as just a wrestler??? pretty much cause thats where Couture began wrestling…alot of people even couture feel that Lesnar is just a bigger Couture and dude hate if you must but you cant say that Lesnar hasnt dominated his fights with the exception of maybe Randy's even though he KO'd him with a grazed punch off the side of his head.

If Mir wins congrats to him but its very unlikely based upon the first fight and to think that Lesnar camp will have a great gameplan and Mir can not match Lesnar's abilities he can not the only Mir wins is bySubmission which could happen but not likely. Say what you want but i still think your full of Shit, and thats just my opinion. Eat my words Lesnar will destroy Mir and if he loses than i will be the first to congratulate Mir but i just dont see how he can win realisticly.

Roy is right name calling isnt appropriate and i am sorry for that but it irritates me when people talk shit and dont know WTF there talking about they get some facts and before they read it all jump to conclusions. Anyways nice debateting with ya Jimmy. hope to debate again on something else.

  31. jimmy

    March 5, 2009 at 6:16 am

yea same to you sorry about the name calling, and im not saying that about randy i also have a wrestling past so im not saing anything about that. The way i feel is that Brock hasnt proven himself to me YET, and who knows in the future he may and i really hope he does cause he is explosive and possibly a great future in this sport if he dosent get bored with it, thats my problem with the guy. Like i said sorry for the name calling i shouldnt have let you get to me like that i tried not to but all that crap you were talking just pissed me off ya know.

how can you say you dont see how he can win realisticly when the man beat him the first time? you dont make any since to me. When you apologize for talking shit and in the same breath start talking shit again that confuses the shit outta me to, oh well thats just the person you are i guess a knee bar is painful if you let someone sink it in but it is one of the easiest to kick out of, and if you had the history you say you did than you of all people would know that. Randy may have started in wrestling but he evolved into what he is today so to say brock is a young randy may be true but so is alot of other people what seperates randy from other people is what he has done with his career, and what he has become.

Be prepared for me to be around this forum for a long time i dont back down from ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good stuff, i don't like either one of them but i see lesnar winning this one, of course i wouldn't be to suprized if mir won as he did do it before but i think lesnar is the better of the two now and he still has alot to prove as jimmy says but so far he has answered the call and i see him avenging his loss.

What i am saying is for the first 80 seconds of the fight Lesnar dominated Mir if lesnar stays away from the subs i just dont see how Mir can match up to him any other way. I just dont see it happening but weirder things have happend and i never count a fighter out but unless Lesnar makes another rookie mistake he wins.

In respect to a knee bar yes i actually train MMA and while it may seem easy to break out of its not nor is it worth trying if you cant immediately break it, as if you understood hte physics behind the hold you whould know that the force of the lower body and upper body both pulling back hyperextention of the knee joint if very painfull and can cause serious after affects and the knees are not something to take lightly especially for someone in MMA or wrestling as your knees are everything in MMA you dont have healthy knees and you will become slow and lethargic in fights…brock made a good decison to tap when he did as he was a rookie and new to the sport…i am sorry but thats how i feel as well as many others knee bars are painfull and should not be taken lightly.

Jimmy, its a pointless arguement with Tim. He is a hardcore Lesnar fan and probably won't change. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, but Tim, you gotta chill with that "YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT MMA!!!!!" Jimmy is just as credible as the rest of us on this site, which means jack shit. There is no way to know if anyone on here truely knows what they are talking about.

jimmy how exactly is a knee bar an easy move to escape out of? By the time u feel the pain in that move its usually too late. knee injuries are life long a lot of the time. Unless you think you could have gotten out of a deep kneebar from mir u should shut ur mouth. Mir is one of the best heavyweight ground fighters in the world that can actually apply it to mma well. Getting out of a knee bar from him would not be easy for anyone. A lot of leg locks arent even allowed to be used in some jui jitsui gyms during active grappling because like i said once u feel the pain ur knee is allready torn. and saying champions dont tap is stupid as fuck. Anderson and GSP have both tapped more than once and i think they know a little more about what it means to be a champion than you JIMMEHHHH!

What i meant to say is a knee bar is easy to get out of before they lock it in all you got to do is kick them off its not that fuckin hard ive done it myself countles times so shut your fuckin mouth! Those people may have tapped and anderson silva even tapped from a knee bar so i guess i misspoke, but my point is brock prematurely tapped and if you dont agree watch the fight again. Next time my name comes out of your mouth say it right or dont say it at all daaaaaaaannnnnniiiiiiiieeeeeeeeooooooooppppqqqqq!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah your the other brock lover i forgot who you were till i read the older posts. Just wait till brock gets put in another one of those knee bars ill be kicked back remembering this conversation laughing my ass off!

I WILL NEVER SHUT MY MOUTH! Comments like those just fuel me bro its that competition i love competition in everything!

Jimmy if you're experienced then you know that if a BJJ blackbelt like Mir locks you in, will all of the little details that a blackbelt posseses…you're in trouble.

Brock wasn't experienced enough to react fast enough to roll out. He tried and it was just a split second too late before mir secured his leg. The fact that he tapped was smart.

Even though it is hard to tear knee ligaments because the knee is so strong. When it happens you're never the same again. And depending on the flexability of someones joints, some guys pop a lot quicker than others.

But I'm all talk. Jimmy why don't you tell me how you would have "kicked Mir off." BJJ gyms can be expensive so it would be cool if you could give us all some detailed pointers since you're done it countless times.

you are exactly right when the move is LOCKED in it hurts like a bitch and can hurt you if done right. My argument is BEFORE he can lock it in its one of the easiest to get out of. I really hope Frank mir will do it again ok, i totally understand the knee bar if we must keep on talking about that than im down for the argument, but if we can please move on to how brock is gonna get one of his limbs broke.

Brock taps first round again. you know he is gonna run in again and try to rip his head off thats just the type of fighter he is, and mir is gonna hit the mat grab a limb and not let go.
