James Irvin has no luck, his manager Mike Roberts confirmed Irvin tore his meniscus in his knee and will be forced out of his UFC 98 bout with Drew McFedries.

James Irvin was scheduled to make his UFC return following a 9 month suspension for pain killers after his loss to Anderson Silva at UFC 92.

Xavier Foupa-Pokam has agreed to replace the injured Irvin. Foupa-Pokam is coming off a decision loss to Denis Kang at UFC 97.

The middleweight bout is slated to be on the PPV portion of the card, it is unclear if the UFC will drop the fight down to the preliminary card in light of Irvins injury.
