I think he is right, Crynot, and I think that has actually been said. This is not what I expected from Germany, maybe some other countries, but not Germany.

McCain actually backed down from his hard-line stance once the UFC moved to more civil rules, rather than the original style vs. style, NHB, tournaments of their beginning. I still don't think you'd see him watching the fight, but let's not blow things out of proportion.

agreed if you ban the ufc and leave mindless TV like 16 and pregnant and the jersey shore on TV, are you fucking kidding me. there's not a day that goes by that American idol doesn't make me want to vomit. There are about 200 TV shows that do nothing but make the next generation just a little more mentally challenged and they are going to ban legal, regulated, and officiated fighting. HA!

Right you are Steveo. I'm not a fan of Mccain – I'm just saying that there is no way America would allow his dumbass to ever ban this sport.

His party is not the type to go against the majority, unlike the ignoramous thats in there now thats about to ruin America this weekend.

This is ridiculous though..from a country where greco roman is so popular also…i don't see how countries applaud boxers…applaud wrestlers….applaud other forms of grappling…applaud kickboxing (especially in germany) and yet when it comes together it's just a mindless bar brawl now? before all those things were legitimate sports with respectable guys but now it's just gladiator warfare?

this is what happens when you have too many pretentious, over-educated and out of touch politicans and bureacrats in government.
