UFC Breaks Up The Love Between Fedor and Tapout

The UFC strong arms another sponsor:

Q: When can fans get Fedor’s Tapout shirt:

A: I’m afraid to disappoint the fans, but it seems like, never. Literally today they called me from the TAPOUT firm and told me that they were contacted by the representatives of the UFC, and that under the threat of tearing up all the contracts with their organization demanded that TAPOUT categorically stop producing all the shirts from the line of Fedor Emelianenko.

This is how Dana White feels about Fedor. So tell me, what can we think about such person after this, that even in things that have nothing to do with UFC, he still tries to mess it up for us. So it seems that the shirts will just stay a rarity that fans will see in pictures. Say thanks to UFC and their politics of monopoly. [BJ Penn]

Tapout is a huge company with worldwide distribution partners, but the simple fact is that they rely solely on the UFC TIT. If MMA ceases to exist Tapout would go by the wayside.

Dan Hederson’s clothing line Clinch Gear is now handling the Fedor apparel, they were banned by the UFC along with BJ Penn’s clothing line RVCA.

    Wow, that's practically racketeering.

Ever see the UFC's sponser blacklist?

The way Zuffa Blackballs sponsors is pretty disgusting

One thing I don't get, BJ makes them alot of money

    Why ban his line?

Any of you many Dana worshipers out there still think that his attempt at monopolzing our sport is a good thing?

forcing companies to get off the fence and choose a side isn't monopolizing, they can still exist outside of ufc. Dana is simply drawing the battle lines…still a huge Douche bag of a thing to do, and unnecessary imho, but what do I know about running a multi billion dollar industry?!

Dana almost seems to be some kind of Jekyll and Hyde businessman. Amazing promoter, has the gift of the gab and great charm which builds a lot of confidence in people willing to invest in the company one way or another. Can convince people that a turd he's selling is actually a diamond in the rough, etc etc.

But then out of nowhere he's pulling stunts like this, banning sponsors and telling his fighters to do things his way or the highway. Like when John Fitch didn't want to sign his likeness and rights away for the video game. We all know that conversation probably went something like….

"John, we need you to sign something right now, we've already faxed it" "Wait a minute Dana, can I read this first and think things through?" "oh yeah!?!?! That's the fucking attitude you want to take? fuck you! you're fired! you'll never work in the UFC again!!!, you! you're dead! your whole gym! they're dead!!!" .. lol

I know Dana thinks SF and all the other promotions are smalltime and don't even compete anywhere near the level of the UFC. If they are no threat then why does he always go way out of the way to try to hurt them. To the point of threatening the sponsors of his own promotion. He is either afraid of them becoming a real competitor(lol) or he is a total douche. I think he's just an egomaniac. I could see this attitude coming back on dana one day. The ufc may have to remove dana from the spotlight. That would be great for the ufc and mma.
