    Dana is RUINING the sport.

and it was a JOKE YOU IDIOT!

tho i wish they would replace him.

(lack of American sense of Humour there it seems.)

  5. Killah Hillz

    August 12, 2009 at 12:22 pm

Yeah, wishing for someone's death because they're a good businessman is real funny, dickhead. Look, if it weren't for Dana you would never even have heard of MMA, and it wouldn't be as popular as it is today. Just get over it. Dana should be respected for what he did for the sport you know about only because of him.

(Here's where you say you always were into martial arts and watched Pride and everything before Dana came in, to try to show me I'm wrong and you save face…but I just called your move, so just admit you're a moron, and we can all move on.) Notice Bazooka Joe ain't commenting on here anymore after I went to Texas and beat his ass like the bitch that he is.

Ya, he's ruining the sport because he's trying to centralize all of it inside 1 major organization like NFL,NBA,NHL, etc. It's because of guys like Dana that we aren't watching MMA from some shitty rec center or somebodies basement. Ruining the sport, your a fucking idiot, go die.

  7. Bob

    August 12, 2009 at 12:50 pm

He's trying to make it a real sport, as in covered by ESPN and any other notable sports cast, give it real credibility amonst other major sports, right now its a sideshow with a lot of fans.

you are clueless. You are Danas puppet. You cant think for yourself.

You cant even have an intelligent conversation with anyone on this website that disagrees with you

You act like a kid and throw temper tantrums and call names when people dont agree with you.

It is quite funny how old are you 2. Youngster i think it is past your bed time little ones should not be watching UFC.

    August 12, 2009 at 1:13 pm

If Dana isdoing such a bad job and needs to be replaced, then why is the sport growing so popular in the states and other countries. also the ufc can have fighters get hurt and can't fight and replace them with no problem or when fans complain about a boring fight card they change it. Let's see what happen to affliction thrillogy 3 they couldn't get some else to fight fedor and canceled the whole event. When have you ever seen the ufc cancel an event because a fight couldn't happen NEVER!!!

The fact is: The Gina Carano and Chris Cyborg fight will be much much more exciting thanany Brock Lesnar figt ever will be. Both of these women are fenominal fighters. This will be a brawl. Besides: I already saw Brock lesnars fight for free at my local tavern: I wouldn't pay for it at home because of the headline fight: a gut getting paid for his name that has yet to EARN a title shot.

By the way: Keep an eye on Bobby Lashley…

Im a big MMA fan, so I will definately be watching Strikeforce this weekend, not to mention I also watched WEC sunday, so I'm no fanboy by any means, but Dana has done a great deal for the sport, show him a little ounce of respect.

Shogun = Suckit. Regardless of my delivery tactics, I am right here, and going against me in this particular case makes you look like a complete idiot. And looking bad next to me is REALLY bad, so you and Mike really need to STFU!

I have to agree with post 8, although i agree with you killah….chill out man, insulting people isnt going to get anyone anywhere….that said its a good business move and i believe strikeforce is going down if Dana wants it to…he'll create his monopoly, and i think its good for the sport. NFL NBA, NHL., thats where your getting the best ccompetition. To be the best you have to beat the best.

(sigh…) I'm too too young to be remembering "the good old days" on this site when real men with real takes could Intelligently Discuss Real opinions and not use this as an alternative for psychotherapy or in the place of their meds. Won't someone with an ounce of dignity start those "good old days" back up?! Let's all agree…Dana is a douche, but a douche with the world in the palm of his hands as far as mma goes. Fedor and Brock won't meet and this sucks regardless of who you pull for….and yes Killah….even in a joke it is Poor form to wish a drive by on anyone….especially if you used to wake up at the sound of sirens to steal the yellow police tape from each new one in your hood.

from my stand point, if i hadnt already seen ufc 100. I would watch it rather than cyborg carano for the same reason i would rather watch college mens basketball than womens pro, lay ups and jump shots WOW!! Neither of them are going to knock the other out and likely it will go to a decision that if its close you know carano will win that way they keep the golden girl of womens mma. its just to predictable. of all the womens fights i haev seen I am not sure I have ever seen one not go the distance. It just isnt entertaining for me.

You all forget this is business first and for most and the UFC want to remain the kings of MMA, there just protecting their rights and there business. Although i dont think Strikeforce and M-1 stand a chance at overtaking the UFC of course. I am not complaining this is free fights to watch, its way better than waiting a year to see these fights free on TV, props to Dana and the UFC for making this happen. This may suck for others but for the true MMA fans why the bitch talk, you get to see these fights again for FREE like a little over a month after they occurred..thats fucking awesome just shut your mouths and enjoy the ride.

the strike force card is still pretty solid, only people who haven't seen ufc 100 will tune out, and other than the bisping fight its nothing i want to watch again. just record one and watch the live event if you haven't seen 100 yet.

    August 13, 2009 at 2:43 am

you're all idiots if you think that what Dana is doing is good for the Sport.

MLS is a MASSIVE MASSIVE example of this.

who watches this shit outside America? the answer is NO ONE!

NFL? again the SAME! (hell no one plays that outside of America)

truth is there is a reason that i see the wider goal.

anybody who says "like NHL, NFL etc" are idiots.

all sports that are big in America and nowhere else.

MLS? sorry but Europe has the bigger and better players.

UFC right now cannot get anymore fighters on there rota, it is as SIMPLE as that, this is another shot at monopolying the sport for more money for DANA AND THE UFC.

oh and i watched Pride before i even knew what the hell the UFC was.

this sport needs to go down the boxing line. Dana will not co promote with anyone and that for the fans is not a good thing.

besides UFC 100 is shit. 103 is full of good fights but no names (Manny boxes that night). 105 is in Manchester so shit names will be on it. (viewing times etc).

yeah it will be great for any dull moments just flip between the two or record ufc 100 for later. you got to go with the live event and how could you not want to see babalu vs gergard.

    August 13, 2009 at 4:18 am

Well Said….back to the good old days of respect and dignity just because we cant see eachother doesnt mean we can act like assholes, etc..

Fact is what Dana White does only anhances the MMA world, the guy is an asshole but a smart ass as well..this isnt going to hurt MMA, its business and when Dana gets business minded its all better for the MMA fans of the world. Simply put you will watch what you watch, i am not buying strikeforce mainly because i dont want to fork out the money after i forked out to watch UFC 101, which wasnt the best show but hey its MMA, its not fake wrestling where you can plan on having a good show and if you dont you can get your money back or something. MMA is real so deal with the real world.

  27. Tim

    August 13, 2009 at 4:21 am

This is just a perfect example of how much power the UFC has….They can counterprograming with a UFC event that did over 1.5 mil buys in just over a month later live on free TV…Now can you name another promotion out there that can do that so easily??? NO you cant so just enjoy it….etiher way whatever you watch…frankly i would watch the live event and tape the UFC 100 to have it on hand for later veiwing.

The only reason soccer is more popular in europe is because it's been around there a long ass time longer than in America.

Of course europe doesn't watch a whole lot of NFL or NHL, you're on a different goddamned continent. Canada watches NHL and some NFL, and countries like Japan and China enjoy MLB.

Also a whole lot of countries play basketball, it's an olympic sport.

All in all I'm going to say that you don't hate ufc, you hate America in general. Get over yourself buddy.

  29. Mike

    August 13, 2009 at 9:33 am

    hosan i hate America?

i go on Holiday to America every year. so no i don't hate America, but nice try.

everyone plays basketball because the government pays them too, no other reason. (if there good enough).

MLB is loved in Japan (China is a massive place with billions of people they love every sport but NHL, NFL and Cricket)

i hate that Dana to Americans is as good as an MMA god. he is ruining the sport, add the fact that Pride WAS more popular than UFC till Dana bought it out, for all we know Dana has slowed down the growth of the sport.

MMA needs to go down the route of boxing but it won't Dana has control now and anyone outside the UFC will not get to fight someone inside it.

there is a reason that boxing P4P is less argued than MMA P4P.

  30. Who knows

    August 13, 2009 at 10:43 am

Dana is ruining the sport and has slowed the growth of MMA? MMA needs to go down the route of boxing?

That's it Mike…You may no longer comment on here, unless you start stating some intelligent comments…

Are you crazy? Boxing is pretty much dead. Why would Dana want to go down the same road has them? The UFC continues to grow every year in it's PPV sells, marketing and apparel. Dana is a smart businessman and GOOD for the sport of MMA.

Pride was more popular then the UFC??? I don't think so and don't get me wrong, I loved Pride when it was still going on, but the UFC was more popular then Pride. It was way more mainstream then Pride, more out there for the public.

  31. hosan

    August 13, 2009 at 4:03 pm

Dude, all you do is talk shit about Americans and America.

Dana is not at all bad for the sport. Everyone knows that he's a prick, but he's far from bad for the sport. He's trying to get all of the fighters in one association. What's the issue w/that? Why is it so wrong that each fighter should have the ability to fight each other? (Of course that's if they should be proper weight class).

    August 14, 2009 at 2:25 am

All you retards that are whinning about UFC counterprogramming against Strikeforce on sat. night, get a DVR and shut up. Dana is the best thing that has ever happened to the sport. Apperently none of you (supposed) MMA fans have a clue what Dana has done for the sport. Find a show called "from bloodsport to big time" it was aired on csnbc and watch it and stop crying. Besides if you have shotime so you can watch Gina's hot ass kick the crap out of cyborg you should have a DVR so you can record UFC 100, or if you cheap assholes would have paid to watch UFC 100 on ppv then you would not have anything to bitch about. Go Gina!!! To everyone that are not complaining thanks for supporting MMA and enjoy the fight!
