Randy Couture returns to the UFC

Announced today during a UFC conference call today, Randy “The Natural” Couture will return to the cage to face Brock Lesnar at UFC 91 on Nov. 15 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. (Not Portland, OR)

The winner will be named the UFC heavyweight champion and take on the winner of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Frank Mir. Nogueira is still considered the UFC interim heavyweight champion after defeating Tim Sylvia at UFC 81 “Breaking Point”.

UFC 91 was rumored to take place in Portland, but the UFC is apparently called on its base city of Las Vegas to host the return of Randy Couture.

I knew it.. Lesnar will be the UFC champ sooner than later come Nov. 15th…

Go Randy! Beat the tar out of that ape and show him that to succeed in MMA you need more skills than 1) double leg takedown, 2) single leg takedown, and 3) punch.

I hope… wait no, I PRAY that Randy beats the snot out of Lesnar and sends him and all of his WWE marks packing.

This smells like Randy/Vitor or Randy/Rizzo. Always counting him out and trying to make him lose and chase him out of company.

And does anyone really believe Dana when he said he'll do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to set up a match between randy and Fedor? Gimme a break, he'll make about as much of an effort as I make when I take a crap…

I think Lesnar will win now more than ever. I still like Randy much more than Lesnar, but because it's for the title, I think Lesnar will try to stay on his feet, but when it goes to the ground, Lesnar will try like balls to just lay on Randy. Randy will bring his A game and Lesnar will bring his LAY game. It's gonna be a weak fight and not because of Randy. I hope I'm wong. GO COUTURE!!

Whatever you all are obvious not MMA knowledgable…STOP COMPARING FIGHTERS, Similiarities yes but you can not compare any fighter as they are all different. Look at this fight and how can you say out of knowledgable MMA mind that Randy will dominate Lesnar and win…it will be the other way around…Physically Randy can not match Lesnar hmm 6'1 228 come fight time vs 6'4 and 280 come fight time..thats a 50lb advantage and lesnar is not just some blob either…he is very strong, big, fast and agile for a man of his size and i know you lesnar haters just look at this past bla bla bla…truth is your afraid that this once WWE superstar is going to come in a walk all over any MMA fighter and have his way….WAIT he already has in every one of his fights he has dominated…he made mistakes of course but he dominated the fights all of them even the MIR one. Now Randy has a chance but a very little one and he has never faced anyone like Lesnar before this is going to be a good test for Lesnar as well and as i said before the passing of the torch per say. Lesnar the next UFC champ.

yeah i don't really see randy winning because brock is such a physical freak. but randy will come prepared and anything can happen. i never thought he was going to win the title and defend so he might suprise us again.

His victory over Sylvia and Gonzaga was not realy impressive as he had the tools to do it and was favored to win. This time around his tools are extremely limited to just punches and Submissions its going to be tough one and never say never but with Lesnar's Tools and athletic ability and now that the title is on the line…Lesnar is going to be a beast in this one and will win hands down…will not be easy as it could go 5 rounds but Lesnar is getting better daily and that is scarry i guarentee you that he will be the next UFC champ come Nov 15 his reign begins.

this fight is a joke, first of all the i thought the rules of a interim champion was that if the next fight of the interim champ (Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira) was not a title fight against the origanal champ (Randy Couture) then the interim champ would become the real champ, i could be wrong please tell if i am! second of all how the hell does Brock deserve a title fight after only 2 fights and then the winner goes on to face Nogueria or Mir, shouldn't it be the other way around since Mir already beat Brock shouldn't it be switched to were Mir will face Couture and Brock will face Nogueria. All this doesn't make since, unless the UFC is just trying to get Couture out as fast as possible

    September 2, 2008 at 8:23 am

Dude, all this does is show you how weak the UFC heavyweight division is… An amature MMA fighter, physical freak or not, can co me in and fight for the title after winning only 2 fights? Come on! I can't see Brock winning this fight though… Herring didn't even show up as usual. Bet the farm on Randy…

    September 2, 2008 at 8:53 am

Randy is always the underdog and this fight is no different. He is the master of making gameplans and exploiting his opponents weaknesses. Lesnar obviously has bad BJJ. So he will I think find a way to beat him again. And the only way I see Randy winning is by guillotine choke as lesnar goes to shoot down he will not watch his neck and Randy will make him tap but if I am wrong and Lesnar can destroy Randy then whats next for him? The championship fight well the champwill either be Big Nog or Mir and both of them will tap lesnar if it goes to the ground more then it stands and with 5 rounds in a title fight Lesnar will have to keep it standing or finish his oppononent when it does go to the mat. But think abuot it Lesnar could keep it standing if he wanted.

  12. kom34 is retarded is

    September 2, 2008 at 8:55 am

No, you're retarded. This 44 year old side show has finally met his match. there's no way he can win with somebody trying like balls to lay on him. I mean seriously, how do you defend against that…the flying windmill?

    September 2, 2008 at 9:20 am

This is not a good stylistic match-up for Randy. Randy is way more talented and expereinced but the problem for Randy is that his strengths are Lesnar's strengths as well…and while Randy may be more expereinced, Lesnar's size, strength and agresiveness are going to over come Randy's talent and experience. To beat lesnar, you have to be an top striker, submission artist or maybe a top wrestler…but even the top wrestler may have problems because lernar is awesome at wrestling. Mir proved that he can be submitted and there were a couple times that Crazy Horse could have applied a submission if he was better…so he can be submitted. He can also be knocked out by someone that is quick and powerful, such as some of the new guys coming up. Randy is in trouble. I will go as far as saying that Fedor is a better match-up for Randy (and don't take this the wrong way-I am not saying that Lesnar is better than Randy) than lesnar. It should be interesting.

On the other hand though, is lesnar ready for a title shot? I don't think he has earned it. Although I realize that Mir and Minotauro are tied up and can't fight, this is strictly a "money" decision because the UFC knows that this fight will produce ratings. They know that Randy may never fight for them again so this fight has WIN written all over it…

    1. They all they can out of Randy before he leaves;

    2. If Lesnar wins, whether Randy stays or not, they now have their new cash cow that they can market as the HW champ.

    3. Even if lesnar loses, they will be able to say that they are not babying him like Elite is doing with Kimbo.

I am sure that Werdum and Kongo are not real happy about someone being 1-1 in the UFC getting a title shot before them. I can say that you cant argue this not being a sound business decision.

this fight can go either way so many people on here with definite points of views makes me laugh the truth is nobody knows who is gunna win cuz the fight hasnt gone down yet they both can win because they both have pros and cons in this fight. it will come down to whoever can impose his will and control the fight but personally i would like to see Brock win because he (unlike) kimbo has potential and very well could be the #1 guy in a few years as far as skillset goes. remember people he was a VERY successful wrestler and wrestlers tend to do very well in the fight game just give Brock a few years to flush out his skillset.

  20. TIM

    September 2, 2008 at 1:01 pm

Miko are you even knowledgable in MMA??? i dont think so..i have been a Lesnar fan since 1999 when i was first met him at J Robinsons wrestling camp in Minnesota…no shit the man is unbelievable and has a killer training ethic. Not to mention he is a great guy and is intelligent. Besides that a true MMA fan and a knowledgable one will disect each fight and base the winner on each others skills and not just come out and say BS crap like Miko and the rest of you no brains. Say what you want your entitled to it thanks to me and the rest of the military, your freedom of speech sometimes comes back to haunt you. Now brock is not God and that was a silly statement to make all i was doing was pointing out Brocks strong points and Randy's and comparing them and like it or not Randy is well over matched….there are only two things going for Randy experience and Submissions everything else Lesnar has him beat big time and to say there is no chance would be an insult to Randy but realisticly i do not believe he will Win this fight as he well overmatched but never say never. Another thing a true MMA fan would realize that Brock has only 2 years of MMA experience and 20 plus years of wrestling and based upon what we have seen so far the guy has a great future in MMA and i will say it again YOU CAN NEVER COMPARE A FIGHTER TO ANOTHER…everyone is different and the MMA world has never seen the likes of Lesnar and like it or not he is going to dominate the MMA world and given time he will become Great he is only 31 and has 20 plus years of wrestling experience and that is the bases for MMA HMMM wasnt Randy a wrestler….i think so and Randy is no were near the caliber as Lesnar is in that aspect. Randy is overall more experienced and has proven himself but Miko RANDY COUTURE IS NOT GOD…he has never faced Brock Lesnar before or anyone like him so educate yourself, review some films whatever and dont talk before you can back it up… Opinions are one thing but dont start lashing out personally if you cant back it up…I have not said anything on here that isnt True at all…you just find it hard to believe and handle the truth. Now i do not believe Lesnar should be getting a title so quickly but understand from a business perspective and Kongo backed out of the fight due to an injury or something so screw him. This sets up a possible rematch between Lesnar and Mir…Lesnar should win and Mir has his hands full but i see him pulling it out and setting up what could be another record breaker for the UFC. Key thing is Lesnar has only 2 years of MMA experience while eveyone else he is fighting has at least a decade on him.. I think he is doing very well for a man in his position. So mock him if you will…and let actions speak louder than words and so far you may not like the way wins his fights but game plans work if you stick to them and in this MMA world its not how you win the fight its the fact that you win bottom line.

  21. Alex

    September 2, 2008 at 1:47 pm

No f'ing way. Lesnar could be Heavyweight champ after his fourth fight? Kom34 is retarted…is retarted I agree. Everyone counted Couture out against Silvia because he was too old and coming out of retirement. He went on to dominate the entire fight. Then Gonzaga was suppost to be the next HW superstar who was suppost to be too good for Couture. He got pounded out. Don't get me wrong, I'm putting my money on the freak to win this fight, but I think Couture is going to make the big guy earn it.

  22. TIM

    September 2, 2008 at 1:55 pm

Well Shit no one said it was going to be easy…i see this fight as being a passing of the torch per say from wrestler to wrestler. Lesnar should win and you cant compare him to Syvia or Gonzaga as Randy has never faced anyone even close to Lesnars Size, Strength and speed and overall athletic ability. anything can happen and yest Lesnar will most likely be the champ in only his 4th fight. Business wise it makes sense at this time in his career did he earn it No but it would set up another match with Mir if he wins his fight with Nog and it would make for records to be broken if that was the case. Lesnar will win he is too much for Randy…im not counting him out but he cant overcome lesnars strength and speed and it is going to be a battle.

hey tim why is everyone hating on brock lesnar. man i think your 100% right. its the passing of the torch, and randys time is done. plus he's just lookin for a payday anyway. he hasnt fought in like a year so why is everyone on his nuts. brock is a monster and i dont see him getting choked out by randy. i think brock is going to knock him out with that wrecking ball of a punch he has

  24. YC

    September 2, 2008 at 3:52 pm

i still don't think Brock deserves a title fight but besides that he has a huge chance of winning if he trains to beat Couture. For all the haters on Brock u have to realize this guy isn't no fagot Kimbo with no background, he has a huge background on wrestling as everybody knows and his strength and speed, well just because the WWE is a fake entertainment sport doesn't mean everything is fake, just look back at Brock's strength and speed in the WWE thats not fake, he could easily pick up any heavy weight and drop them on there back, i think he will work on his take striking and slams on Couture just to show every body that he belongs.

Brock wins by TKO or decision

On principal alone Lesnar should not get this fight ….. in my opinion , it would be a shame to see a HW champ with a 2-2 record……. Not finishing a bum like Herring does not earn you a title shot …… it should be Nog Vs Randy.

I hope Randy whoops his ass. I’m already sick of hearing about Lesnar and how he’s “THE NEXT BIG THING” whatever!!!! Lesnar is a disrespectful clown.

Yeah Tim, calm down. I usually agree with everything you say, and I do for the most part in this instance, but they are opinions, and just because someone thinks Randy can win, doesn't mean they are necessarily wrong. Think of it this way, do you think everyone in Randy's gyms think he is going to lose? Hell no. They roll with him and they know what he is capable of. They have their reasons. I'll bet there are a good number of people that do not have much faith for him in this fight though.

  35. TIM

    September 3, 2008 at 8:33 am

First off if i offended anyone i apologize and if you read my other posts your would realize that i stand for Freedom of speech and opinions are always welcomed, i in no way have ever said that Randy is flat out going to lose but waht gets me going is when people overlook Lesnar or any other fighter for that measure when they are facing the likes of Randy or Liddel or a big name etc legend…they automatically think that Randy is better and should win when they are not legitimetly taking into the account of Lesnars Strengths…His Size, Strength, Speed and Wrestling ability alone is hard to contain and not to metnion his wieght advantage is huge at least 50lbs come fight time and this isnt Fat like it was with Sylvia this is Hard core Muscle and Muscle wieghs more that Fat does…and makes a huge difference in a fight. The fact that Lesnar outmatches Randy in every Catagory but Experience and Subs is the Truth not just an opinion those are facts. I have said before as well to never count a fighter out and surely not Randy as this will be a war. I never said anyone was wrong for saying Randy was going to Win but when someone flat out says nothing but that and doesnt back it up as to why he thinks that…is not knowledgable enought in MMA to even speak or write about it. But that is just my opinion. Lesnar Wins via decision or TKO in the 1st round.

Past comments…hmm i have not seen any of yourse except this one…i back my shit up with the truth and to say that randy has no chance is far from that statement…Chance that is all he has is a chance…i dont need to say anymore as the true MMA fans and knowledgable ones and yes i did say that will know this fight hands down how bad of a threat is poses to Randy and how overly matched he really is. But i am a fan of Randy and Brock and just happy to see this fight no matter how it ends it should be good and wars do end in the first round my friend your just to ingnorant to see past the point. By the way i wasnt talking shit on anyone you fucking piece of shit, you can say and talk all the shit you want on this post but truth is i guarantee you you wouldnt be talking that way in front of a me a former Recon Marine who has had his fare share of wars himself. So its people like me that allow you the freedom you have to speak your fucking mind So Bob Saget go back to sucking Full House Dick and instead of saying BS crap and not proving your points go Fuck Naco21 and leave the rest of us alone. Wow tim I repsect that u r a marine but just because u r doesnt mean u r tough. I have grown up with marines and I got to tell ya everytime i have seen one fight they have lost. Maybe u think ur tough with a gun but being a marine doesnt make a better fighter. Yes I love what ppl do for the country but dont say that somebody wouldnt say that to ur face b/c I have said that before and I regret it b/c I realize how fucking stupid it sounds. Now back to the fight u did say and made it clear that u think lesnar should win easily and like I said wars arent easy and wars go more then 3-4 min. I just dont understand why u r getting so angry maybe b/c ppl are telling u how fucking stupid u sound. Oh My God Randy has never fought anyone with Lesnars skills whatever will he do well guess what instead of saying Randy hasnt fought anyone like lesnar think of it like this Lesnar has never fought anyone close to Randy. Randy is awesome. He will come up with a sick as gameplan and shock us all like he has done since his last loss to Liddell. U say ur not counting randy out but a couple posts up u straight up say Lesnar wins. Hmmm so who is the fucking idiot again? Ur a fucking hypocrite. Lesnar should win easy but it should be a war and Rndy has only a chance Lesnar wins these are ur coments. But yeah u know what ur talking about;)NOT!!

  41. Tim

    September 3, 2008 at 1:40 pm

First off i was a RECON Marine…kinda like the navy fucking seals for the Marine Corps its a very elite club and yes i would go as far as to say that i can kill and beat the shit out of most people. Would i however No as i can go to jail because i have special training as do these MMA fighters..enough about me and YES Lesnar has fought many like Randy before…WRESTLING in College sure it was missing fists flying etc…but its still a fight /match however way you want to put it and Lesnar dominated his HWGHT DIv 1 class with a 106-5 record while randy cant come close to that in his wrestling. I am not a hippocrite as Yes my OPINION is that lesnar wins i am entitled to that but at the same time i believe that Anything can happen but truth is that Randy is way overmatched however you want to see it or believe it. Randy has never foght Wrestlers lke lesnar before he said it himself so this time around he cant use his gameplan of clinch and takedowns as Lesnar is too much for him and is the better wrestler…I am entitled to say whatever i want as these are my opinions and i can say i am not coutning Randy out but Lesnar should win hands down as he is too much physically or Randy to contain..all i am going to say is wait and see come Nov 15…if my statements hold true and if not and Randy pulls it out good for him and i will admit that he beat Lesnar if that happens. It should be a war like everyone was saying in the Heath fight until BAM one punch pretty much ended it all. Talk about game plans you think Lesnar isnt going to have a dominate gameplan himself. He may come up with a sick gameplan but reality is he probably will not be able to execute it as Lesnar is too much for him…hmmm i dont see Randy stopping Lesnars takedowns and i dont see Randy really taking down lesnar or clinching with him you saw what happend when Heath Clinched and Lesnar just kneed the shit out of him, not to mentnon Randy con not match Lesnars Strength or power so his game plan honestly based upon my opinion and watching his fights is to look for a submission anything can happen but i dont see him winning Lesnar is just too much for him to handle…Randy is great but i dont think he will be able to properly execute a plan against lesnar as every catagory Lesnar has him beat except Subs and experience

  42. Bob Saget

    September 3, 2008 at 2:22 pm

Im not saying Randy will or will not win but u r a hypocrite but i am saying that u give lesnar way too much credit for what he has done in his fights.

  43. Bob Saget

    September 3, 2008 at 2:27 pm

Seriously being the m uore gifted athlete doesnt give u the W or even mean that ur the favorite to win. If is was all abot strength and youth he wouldnt be able to compete with the top guys and Fedor wouldnt have been a ble to submit a 460 lb man but it comes down to in this fight Randys experince and that will show trust me. Brock will get caught and he will get up and learn from it as he will continue to do but he isnt ready to take the role of a chapion yet. Randy obviously sees wholes in his game like the submisssions and his lack of speed. Randy will be much faster and is a hell of a lot more of a warrior then Brock.

  45. TIM

    September 4, 2008 at 12:43 am

Dude what are you smoking….You cant say the Randy is faster when the whole MMA world and even Herring and Mir are saying i never thought he was that fast or Strong. The man runs a 40 in about 4.8 seconds for a man that was 295lbs at the time that is damn fast…and you have to look at Lesnars skills….he isnt a normal big HWGHT like that 460lb man you talked about…He is 265 to 280lbs of muscle and is extremely fast and agile for a man his size and being a warrior man Lesnar was a wrestling champion NCAA college Div 1 champ and also in the NAtional Guard at one point at 17…that alone makes him a warrior as to win the NCAA title takes a warrior to dedicate his life to training and his record alone at 106-5 should say something..you have to understand that wrestling is alot more in depth that you think…you have to be able to control your opponent physically and mentally and Lesnar was the best at that his record proves just that but not to take anything away from Randy but he isnt the wrestler that Lesnar is and based upon everything we have seen the man is a force to be reckoned with like him or not does he deserve a title match at this time hell no…but business wise it makes sense and its all about the money. Hippocrite or not think what you want your entitled to it but i have the right to say Lesnar will win and also say that Randy has a chance as well. I give Lesnar his credit because of his Background and accomplishments you should look into them and then maybe you would respect the man…not everyone can go to a NFL tryout and make the team without any football experience but the man is just a gifted athlete all around and the only reason why Vikings cut him was because he got injured in a Motorcycle accident and was unable to compete due to injuries but they did offer him a spot with NFL europe team before it went under but he turned it down. Then decided to pursue MMA and my only point is Lesnar has only really 2-3 years of training and look what he has done so far sure he has his flaws everyone does but look ahead another 3 years plus and just imagine the type of fighter he can become or will be and that is scarry if you really understand and look at it from that perspective becuase what other HWGHT out there is 280lbs of muscle, extremly strong and fast and a great wrestler all in one…NONE there are none out there that can physically be matched up with Lesnar sure they may be strong and fast or one or the other but none with the all around package and that is my point my friends Lesnar is becoming the total package and so far in every fight he has had he has dominated his opponents and you cant deny that..even Mir said that himself and so did Herring. He still needs to earn respect and has alot to learn as well but all in due time.

Ok maybe your not 16 but by some of your earlier comments it did seem that way.

You state that other people dont know anything about MMA because they think Randy can beat a bigger, stronger, faster Lesnar. Dude thats what martial arts is all about. Skill and tecnique usually wins out over raw power. Im not saying that Randy is for sure gonna win. But you're first statement stated that Brock was gonna win the title on Nov. 15th. Man no doubt he is an amazing athlete. But he has yet to prove himself in the world of MMA. Hell he got subd out to mir in round 1. then you back up and contradict yourself saying you never counted Randy out. Then you say Brock "should be 4-0" What is that? his record is what it is! 3-1 Forgive me for the personal attack but you seemed to get pretty pissed off when someone disagreed with you and just thought id have some fun with it.

so sounds like you have met lesnar and you hold him on a pedestal or something.

As i said before i have met Lesnar back in 99 and 00 at J robinsons wrestling camp, with Greg Nelson. i am not close friends with him i just met him. Anyways i am entitled to say that Lesnar will win and to not count out Randy…i see where you get the confusion because i am giving such little credit to Randy in this one but my main comments have been about Lesnars overall Ability and extreme wrestling skills which surpass Randy's by far based upon your comments i am going to go ahead and say that you have never wrestled before and if you have shame on you for not taking into account what wrestling actually is and what mad skills you need to be great at it…anyone can wrestle but few are actually called great wrestlers. enough on that this is just a simple site to talk MMA and by the way you cant ovelook the fact that Lesnar has dominated all his fights…and yes he should be 4-0 but he made a rookie mistake and got beat by the best BJJ fighter in UFC..Now he has made an immediate impact and all due to his wrestling ablility, size, speed and strenghth and that cant be overlooked by anyone and yes i think Randy is really going to have a very hard time trying to contain Lesnar due to this as he has never faced anyone like him before…Randy said it himself so fogive me for saying this but at same time not coutning Randy out as 99% sure lesnar will win but that 1% is always there and if its hippocritical of me to give 1% chance than so be it but its not its called evaluating the fight and making pros and cons and outweighing differences and strengths and taking into account that 1% chance. (Theoretically 1 % not being serious just making a damn statement)

mit is not the best bjj guy in the ufc he is not even the best hw bjj guy in the heavey wieght devision, but he is one of the best and a loss is a loss not a should be.

recon marine?? lies. A recon Marine wouldn't be insecure enough to brag about it on a comment board. Pathetic.

Seriously you have no idea who your talking to or what your even saying…first off i wasnt bragging i was merley stating who i am as i am one of many that defend your damn freedom to speak your mind and sharing that iahve been in a few true wars myself and fights as well. Just proving a point and honestly i can care less if you believe me cause i have the truth of who i am and was in my garage and attic. So besides that Mir is a great BJJ one of the best in the UFC HWGHT, to say he is the best is my opinion as does everyone says Fedor is the best…therir just opinions and mean nothing cause no matter how good you think you are there is always someone better than you at something…thats just how life goes. So Lesnar is not the best, Randy is not the Best and Fedor is not the best but they are all great fighters and that is my opinion and no one knows who is the best fighter or can say it truthfully as that question can never be answered unless one fighter has beaten every single person in there wieght class from all over the world and has an undeafeted record than you can classify yourself as the best in the world.

    September 4, 2008 at 8:15 am

If i recall Fedor is not undefeated and a loss is a loss no matter how you look at it…from your own words my friend. So he isnt the best….but he is very good.

fedor is the best hw and has not lost in a long time that fight was early in his career and it was a illegal elbow that caused it but no matter it still went down as a loss, i think fedor has proven he is the best by beating everyone he has face(he beat that guy in a rematch) so he has beaten everyone he has faced, mir is not the best bjj hw nog is, lesnar may be the best one day but he has not done it yet fedor has.

    September 4, 2008 at 8:42 am

I am no where close to saying that Lesnar is the best maybe one day he will be up there but right now he alot of talent and is on his way to being great if he can prove and develope his skills. anyways Fedor isnt the best as he is arguably the best meaning its an opinion and Fedor hasnt faced real comp in awhile…Tim Sylvia that was a joke but he proved he belongs in the top 5 for sure, i believe lesnar is top 10 at this time and even Fedor said how impressed he is with Lesnar and Lesnar was right to say something during that call when it was about Him and Couture and Not Fedor not to mention he knows how to create chaos and draw heat which makes money ala Tito.

fedor is the best hw already proven, fedor was also voted by inside the mma as the best mma fighter ever, other than that i agree with you.who would you put ahead of fedor?

    September 4, 2008 at 9:14 am

i would agree with you that lesnar probally belongs in the top ten but does anyone have him ranked yet?and isn't his record 2-1? losing to mir who is not ranked and beating a tough but unranked herring doesn't real put you up there but i am sure he could beat some top ten guys he just has to do it first.

    September 4, 2008 at 9:47 am

right sorry he's 2-1 He beat Min Soo Kim, Loss to Mir, and won Herring.

TIM you also say Lesnars wrestling skills surpass Randy's BY FAR…Did you know Randy was a three-time Olympian (1988, 1992 and 1996); a semifinalist at the 2000 Olympic Trials; a three-time (NCAA) Division-I All-American and a two-time NCAA Division-I runner-up at Oklahoma State University. In 1992 he was the Division-1 runner-up coming in second after Mark Kerr.

    I'd say thats pretty comparable.

I don't really want to join this ridiculous typing war, but here it is:

TIM- stop saying you were in the marines. I couldn't say you are or aren't, and I take your word for it, but no one can see proof, so no one will believe.

As I stand, My friend fights for Extreme Couture and has rolled with Couture, so I am a huge fan of his. BUT, I still think Lesnar can take it by getting Randy to the ground and holding him down. I think technically Randy could win, but I think Lesnar will be able to subdue and pound on Randy, not giving Randy the ability to get very technical. I really hope I am wrong though, because I would much rather see Randy with his hand in the air at the end.

TIM you are really Lesnar posing under a superficial name right. Thats it. I figured it out.

You got me..HAHAH ya thats all Lesnar has better to do then to type thiw crap. Anyhow Yes i do know Randy's background but why dont you copy it with the truth per Wikepedia—Randy was a three-time Olympic team alternate (1988, 1992 and 1996); a semifinalist at the 2000 Olympic Trials; a three-time National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division-I All-American and a two-time NCAA Division-I runner-up at Oklahoma State University.[2] In 1992 he was the Division-1 runner up at 190 pounds coming in second after Mark Kerr…HMMM no where did it say Randy WON A MEDAL he was only an alternate..did you know that LEsnar was training for the 2000 olympics as an actual memmber of team USA but decided to go into pro wrestling and make millions. Also IT clearly said Randy was an Alternate and RUNNER UP to not a HWGHT a 190 pound wieght class…Lesnar wrestled at HWGHT see his accomplishments per Wikepedia–Lesnar Amateur wrestling

North Dakota State University's annual Bison tournament

    1997 winner: Heavyweight

    1998 winner: Heavyweight

    1999 winner: Heavyweight

    1998 Junior College National Champion

    2-Time Big Ten Title (1999-2000)

    1999 NCAA Division I runner-up

Ranked the #1 Heavyweight in the Big Ten (2000)

    2000 NCAA Division I Champion

2-Time NJCAA All-American with a record of 106-5 overall in four years of college…That is a hell of alot more impressive than Randy's wrestling background my friend but not taking it away from him is was a great wrestler as well just that Lesnar is much better by far wether you agree with me or not its a fact so it will be interesting fight but i see Lesnar coming out with the Win based upon his abilities and the fact that Randy is coming in at 225 and lesnar will be about 270-80 come fight time and when you have a man who has a great wrestling base and is strong and fast i dont see Randy being able to be technical with him..but that is just my opinion. we will have to wait and see Nov 15…

Can't we all just get along??? Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I think that Lesnar is a freak with God-given physical strength. While Randy gets all of my respect and I am going to root for Randy, this is not a good match for Randy. The problem for Randy is that they share the same strengths. I think Lesnar is going to get a boring 5 round win. He is going to take him down and pound him. Because of their size difference, Randy is not going to be able to stop him. I have always been taught that "when there is equal talent/skill, the bigger opponent wins"…now I am not saying that they are equally tallented in terms of MMA, but they probably are equal in terms of wrestling. If Randy was better at submissions, he could catch him…which is why Nog will beat Lesnar. The only way I see Randy winning is via submission. Randy is known for putting together great gameplans… so maybe he is studying submissions 24/7. If he does, he may win, other than that, althought Randy is a better MMA fighter, Lesnar wins because of his physical strength and size.

come on that was funny. anyway yes i did get that from wikipedia. honestly didn't know if you knew randy's background the way you first stated he didnt compare at all…but he does. anyway we can talk after the fight im done with it…peace.

LOL yes i know Randy's background and i like to watch him fight but he is overmatched and like bussiness man says the bigger man usually wins when the skills are the same or better. I agree i am done and peace to you as well…it was entertaining.
