Lineup for the January 26, 2013 UFC on Fox 6 has been released and the fighters that will meet their match are former Sengoku champion Hatsu Hioki against Clay Guida. Guida is new to the featherweight division at UFC and Hioki is set to welcome him with a bang.
Heavyweights Mike Russow and Shawn Jordan will also meet each other in the Octagon on January 26, 2013 at Chicago’s United Center. Other impressive fighters that are set for the 6th installment of UFC on Fox are Ricardo Lamas and Erik Koch which were initially slated for UFC 155. Other fighters that will meet each other for the first time are Quinton Jackson versus Glover Teixeria and Matt Wiman versus T.J. Grant.
Hatsu Hioki is a 29 year old fighter from Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. He is a featherweight with 26 wins, 5 losses and 2 draws in his professional career. He suffered a recent loss lately under the hands of Ricardo Lamas at UFC on FX4 in June, 2012 via unanimous decision but before this defeat he had six consecutive victories from impressive fighters like Bart Palaszewski, George Roop, Donald Sanchez and Marlon Sandro to name a few.
Hioki’s opponent is Clay “The Carpenter” Guida is a 30 year old fighter from Round Lake, Illinois, United States. He is a lightweight fighter with 29 wins and 13 losses in his professional career. He recently suffered two consecutive losses lately from Benson Henderson on UFC on Fox 1 via unanimous decision and Gray Maynard on UFC on FX 4 via split decision. Before his defeat against Henderson he suffered four consecutive wins from great fighters like Anthony Pettis, Takanori Gomi, Rafael dos Anjos and Shannon Gugerty.
On the other hand Shawn “The Savage” Jordan is a 28 year old heavyweight from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. He has 13 wins and 4 losses in his career with is recent fight a loss from Cheick Kongo at UFC 149 in July 21 via unanimous decision. His career has seen the likes of Oli Thompson, Lavar Johnson, Kendrick Watkins and John Hill to name a few.
Mike Russow, Jordan’s opponent is a heavyweight from Chicago, Illinois, United States. He has 15 wins, 2 losses and 1 no contest in his professional career and his latest fight was a defeat against Fabricio Werdum at UFC 147 in June, 2012.
