Siyar Bahaduraza is the latest casualty of the UFC 149. This fighter has been forced from his bout with Chris Clements on July 21. He will be replaced by Matthew Riddle to fight against “The Menace” in Calgary. Remember that the original UFC 149 fight was supposed to be Thiago Alves vs Yoshihiro Akiyama however both fighters were also forced to pull out at the last minute due to injuries with Chris Clements and Siyar Bahadurza replacing them.
UFC 149 will take place at Scotiabank Saddlestone in Calgary, Alberta which will be headlined by a clash between Urijah Faber and Renan “Barao” Pegado, a welterweight title match.
If you are still remember, Riddle last appeared in UFC 143 where he defeated Henry Martinez in the Octagon via split decision. Riddle has had 9 fights under the UFC banner; 6 out of those 9 fights he emerged the winner.
On the other hand, Siyar Bahadurza also has an impressive spread with a worthy explosive Octagon debut. He knocked out Paulo Thiago in only 42 seconds at UFC on Fuel TV 2.His injury is just a small setback from his impressive wins; he is the newest member of the Blackzilians from Florida and he has won his last seven fights with six of the matches by knockout or technical knockout.
So what do we expect from UFC 149 Faber vs Barao then? Urijah Faber has an impressive score card at 26 wins, 5 losses and 0 draws however Renan Pegado also has impressive numbers at 28 wins, 1 loss and 0 draws. Despite the long roster of injuries, UFC 149 will still have incredible fighters to play with the likes of Shawn Jordan, Ryan Jimmo, Antonio Carvalho and Mitch Gagnon. Surely this will be the match of the month that fans have been waiting for all these weeks.
