Former champion Urijah Faber reacts to the news of Dominick Cruz tearing his ACL ahead of their scheduled title at UFC 148. With the bantamweight champion looking at a long recovery, Urijah Faber sees the potential for a interim title fight.

“I’m hoping for a top contender: Renan Barao, in my opinion is next up with Michael McDonald after that and Ivan Menjivar after that. I’m just waiting to see — I know as much as you guys do, but I’m ready to scrap on July 7. And, as far as I’m concerned, that’s when it’s going down.”

What do you think, should the UFC go ahead with an interim title?

Seems faber is ready for a interim belt match but the dictator still mum on the fight. It should be automatic with next guy in line. But seems like the dictator will try to grapple with the most he can get from a PPV. Just gives MMA fans the next guy in line it is so simple. I agree with faber, barao is and should be his opponent at UFC 148.
