This guy is a F$@king moron. Fedor needs to join the UFC and prove he's as good as everyone says or get out of the spot light. You stick around with this guy your going to go down hill. I'm guessing from lack of talent he will be fighting that he should be dropping off the charts of the p4p scale.
July 30, 2009 at 5:40 am
WOW! That guy must be smoking some high grade russian crack if he believes he can compare M-1 to UFC as far as brands go……RUSKI! YOU HAVE ONE F@#KING FIGHTER!!!!!! If i drive a really expensive package to somebody's house…no matter how much that one package is worth…..I do NOT compare my services to UPS! What a complete cum-guzzling fucktard! Single handedly ruining the one chance Fedor has to truly end with the class and true challenges with a company that would serve him high grade fighters EVERY FIGHT! And for Fedor to not take that money(which I'm sure is enough to buy out his contract)….I'm calling Bullsh!t. Fedor is afraid! POINT BLANK!
July 30, 2009 at 5:49 am
vadim is just a sleazeball. and for fedor to remain loyal to vadim for the sake of fedor's career, then this is bullshit. fedor's legacy will get tarnished because of this horseshit. if fedor goes to strikeforce, who is there to fight? alistair overeem? if fedor goes to DREAM, what heavyweights does japan have? oishii the judo champion who has a 0-0 record? roger gracie is coming to the ufc. crocop is already flying his polish ass back to the US. fedor needs to stop bullshitting himself and sign with the UFC. i think the ufc made a lot of compromises with their newly offered contract.
July 30, 2009 at 5:54 am
Thank this d-bag for never getting Fedor into the UFC. I also blame Fedor for putting up with him.
July 30, 2009 at 8:10 am
They bent over backwards and the only one thing they wouldn't do was "co-promote" with M-1. Or to put it another way…allow them to piggyback on the ufc brand and success and recognition. At least Attencio knows when to say when. In a year, THAT guy will still be making boatloads of money and Vadim….well, he'll still have Fedor. That and nothing other than his delusions of grandiosity….to be able to say with a straight face that they DESERVE to receive top billing with the UFC at a UFC event…….repeat after me ….. they have -ONE FU#@KING FIGHTER!!!!- Nothing more. So what, he MIGHT get mouse-assi…then what? A two man organization?! F-ckin Joke!
July 30, 2009 at 9:02 am
not according to this
if they really did offer him that and they turned it down f them, the ufc should just move on. but who knows whats true.
July 30, 2009 at 9:05 am
In all fairness to Vadim (who I don't like), it's not like Fedor can't make his own decisions here. Plus he has as much to gain from M-1 going belly up, which is sure to happen if Fedor signs with the UFC and M-1 can't co-promote. Fedor is part owner of M-1.
July 30, 2009 at 9:13 am
So then is FEDOR the one who's not so confident in his abilities that he won't agree to terms with the UFC? If he goes in, is allowed to promote M-1, actually wins a majority of his fights(no far stretch there, right!), takes the jack even for a short 5 or 6 fight contract plus the cut of the ppv $$$…..how does that make bad business sense for the co-owner?! 30 mil or 15 mil…even 10 mil plus the ppv cut. When has Fedor ever made that amount of money?
July 30, 2009 at 9:41 am
About all that's known about what was offered was UFC would let him wear M-1 gear, and get a "possibility of a cut" of PPV sales. The reports of 30 million are supposedly way off. So it's all about what you're going to believe at this point. Me personally, I don't know what to believe out of all these conflicting reports. What I believe is that Fedor will NOT sign with the UFC now, or ever. If "ever" comes to fuition, it will be so many years down the line that it won't matter anymore. Whether it is M-1's fault, or the UFC I won't place complete blame on either. But if I had to, it would go mostly to the UFC. If they are so afraid of this co-promotion thing, then agree, but attach some sort of provision that states if Fedor loses, it's out. What is the UFC so afraid of? Fedor loses his first fight, the big to-do about his is destroyed and they air his next however many fights on the free cards on SPIKE TV or something. What are they out? Not much because the first fight Fedor is in will make up his entire salary of 30 million (if that were true), let alone how much more they would reap if he won his first fight. Get over yourself UFC.
July 30, 2009 at 9:45 am
That, too…..but how do you trust one douche bag over another….I go with my own countryman and the guy with the least to lose in the situation……Win or lose, if Fedor is in the UFC…Dana makes $$$. If Fedor loses, though…..belly up time for M-1. Finkelfukk has the most to lose the least to gain. Fedor can rule the world, if he fights and powns in the ufc….WHO do you think is holding things up?!
July 30, 2009 at 10:33 am
I hear a bunch of ragging on Fedor and M1, and I am no fan of M1, but what is the problem with this fight being co-promoted? If Dana White truely believes Fedor is a nobody, then why not do the one fight and shut everyone up. Why does he want to have Fedor exclusively if Fedor is a no one? One fight, get it over with. Am I missing something? All I want to see is this fight, I don't care who promotes it.
July 30, 2009 at 11:06 am
M1 and Finkelstein are money hungry ho's. They wont let Fedor fight unless the UFC co-promotes, because they want MONEY. They want their name(M-1 Global) to be out there just like the UFC making tons of money. The UFC isn't stupid. They're not going to share their profits that they've earned. M-1 is asking for way to much. They just need to sign with the UFC for a very well paying contract, like everyone else does. No other fighter refuses to come to the UFC unless their management can co promote the event. Fedor management needs to get with the fuckin program and realize that Fedor is not bigger then the sport of MMA.
Also there's no way the Dana and UFC would ever give Fedor a 30 Mil contract for 6 fights. I think it would probably be between 500K and 600K a fight. I would be surprised if the UFC would offer him more then a million a fight. To be blunt. I think Fedor and M-1 will go to Strikeforce, so they will be able to co-promote events with them and take in a share of the profits that Strikeforce brings in. Like I said before M1 and Fink are Money hungry ho's…

I could be way off on this. I think fedor has a great legacy but if I was a fighter wanting to cement my legacy in history I would fight in the best organization in mma. The ufc was here before all the others and probably will be here after all the other ones fold. I'm an mma fan before I'm a fan of UFC but it just makes sense to me that in-order to leave a legacy I would want to fight in the UFC. I dunno, my mind could change next week but that's just the way i see it right now.

Too many people in this blog really believe that this is a fear thing. I'm surprised at the lack of connection to reality for most people. Too bad more people don't understand business. This all has NOTHING to do with anyone being afraid to get in the ring with anyone else, and all to do with business. But, I imagine that to the less understanding individuals out there, fear may be the best explanation to them.
July 30, 2009 at 1:26 pm
Fedor fighting in the ufc is a bad business decision because once brock whoop his ass m-1 does not have any big fighter to promote. thats why the are afraid to let him fight in the ufc. period
July 30, 2009 at 1:29 pm
I wish dana would give them what they want for one fight so the ufc can show the world how overrated fedor is. He knock out tim and aa. There is 4 or 5 fighter in the ufc at hw that would do the same and a few at lhw could be them too.
July 30, 2009 at 1:57 pm
fuck this asshole, let him fight in dream or somewhere else where no one cares. Maybe strikeforce so he can be in fights no one sees.
July 30, 2009 at 1:59 pm
i didnt mean fedor, i meant the asshat that handles him, at some point you would think one of the best fighters in the world would start controlling his own destiny…..
July 30, 2009 at 8:48 pm
Fedor wants Wealth.
M-1 is the way to go, M-1 needs publicity and Fedor fighting is right now the only way to go, its alas the only real way to go.
if M-1 gets bigger stronger, someday it might compete with the UFC, the UFC doesn't want to help it on its way forward.
July 30, 2009 at 11:19 pm
its fun as we slowly watch mma turn into boxing…
July 30, 2009 at 11:35 pm
Stubborn fucking Russians!
July 30, 2009 at 11:55 pm
MMA needs to create some kind of "champions league" thing.
July 31, 2009 at 1:50 am
Someone brought up a good point that if Fedor sign with the UFC for a few fights and loses even one of them there is a greater chance that M-1 would crash and go nowhere not that there anywhere at the moment. But really Fedor is just a pussy for not taking the offer no matter what it was, Fedor is afraid as who the hell would turn down a chance to solidify a legacy fight better fighters and have a chance to show that the UFC and i dont agree with this that your better than all of their fighters and put a asterisk against the UFC and have the Chance to Raise M-1 Globals Stock in the MMA world. Not to mention no matter what Fedor will make Millions with the UFC. Prediction unless M-1 Co promotes with the UFC a deal will not be reached as M-1 needs this in order to risk having FEdor lose because then they have at least 5 or 6 fights as co promotion with the biggest MMA Org out there which would help their stock even if Fedor loses. Thatts the problem M-1 fully believes that Fedor will lose to a UFC fighter not all of them but at least one and they cant risk havning their biggest and only commodity lose his legacy and his influence over the MMA world bottom line is this if Fedor sign with the UFC and fights Lesnar and Loses…Fedor and M-1 go down HARD as Fedor credibility he has built over the years goes Down but at the same time if he doesnt fight better fighters his credibility is always going tobe in jeopordy but limited to the fact of he never got the chance to show it because one M-1 are stupid and two Fedor was to much of a wuse to stand up and say yes i want to fight the best out there and make millions at the same time. So in essance in my opinion if Fedor doesnt make the attempt to fight for the UFC his legacy becomes tarnished with an asterisk over his name in the MMA hall of fame.
July 31, 2009 at 2:55 am
Tim…. stop posting. its clear you're blinded by hate.
let me ask you something.
If M-1 are so cared that Fedor will lose in the UFC why doesn't Dana just offer him the contract with a co-promo?
Fedor is not looking for money anymore. that is clear, anyone who was looking for money would jump on a contract UFC offered (as it would be the most) but the offer of the contract going round is BULLSHIT, UFC don't even pay GSP AND Brock Lesnar 5 mil a fight (together!)
