Forrest Griffin talks about UFC middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva. Forrest will face Anderson Silva at UFC 101 on August.
Old video, but it seems relevant now.

i use to love forrest then he got knocked out to jardine and that lose changed him…it made him a smart fighter not just a tough guy going out there and standing toe to toe…The fight coming back from his lost it was one of the bording fights ever in MMA but i reallly hope he doesnt just dance around with Silva i hope forrest think he is the bigger fighter and needs to use his size and this fight will be good then

I misss the old swing for the fences Forrest too. But I guarantee that his fight with Anderson Silva is going to be fun to watch. They're both tough as hell and will bring it.

It seems like Forrest is very calm, cool and collected. I don't think Griffin will be intimidated one bit. Anderson better bring his "A" game, or this fight will go Griffin's way.

Im not sure how "tough" A. Silva is. We have really never seen him get punched around. He mainly stays out of danger and like he said tries to get the Win. Forrest we know will get down and dirty and throw but Anderson backed away when Cote was trying to bring it to him. I wouldnt say Anderson is tough but I will say he is a badass fighter.

Anderson Silva is obviously an extremley talented fighter… no one.. NO ONE! can give him a challenge at 185. I hope he moves to 205 perminently.. There are so many good fights for him there (Rashad, Rampage, Shogun, Vera etc..)
I really can't wait to see a big 205 knock fuck outa' him!
Personnally, I'd love to see Fedor join the UFC at 205 and smash anderson – finally put to be the P4P debate!

DanP Size doesnt mean that anderson is gonna get knocked out. plus Anderson walks around 215 so he is evenly matched with other 205's. Rich franklins is a big dude and stronger than him and more athletic than anderson and Anderson outclassed him. I cant believe you guys dont understand that Anderson is light yeas ahead in fighting than most guys in the ufc.

oh by the way Cote used to be a 205 and so did Dan henderson. So i dont think 205 is a threat at all

THat's true, Silva put away Hendo when Rampage couldn't! Don't think it's unlikely that Silva could take the 205 belt too.

Jay… Thanks for stating the obvious?… I know Anderson is a huge MW and average size for LHW – The fact is he's more likely to be beaten or at least given a serious challenge at 205…with Guys like Rampage and shogun around!!!
Also Thanks for telling me Hendo and Cote used have fought at 205??? I didn't know that???
For the record Hendo is a very small LHW!… he's smaller the Silva!

I think Cote showed that Silva can be given a good fight. I like Forrest but he will have to be extemely smart to win this one. These fighters definitly show that you don't have to be a ground specialist to win in the UFC. I love stand-up fighters!

cote is a tiny middle weight and could make 170 if he wanted to. Henderson is a tiny 205'er. Many people have gone on record saying griffin is one of the biggest 205'ers out there. he cuts rediculous amounts of weight. I dont think griffin has the chin to beat anderson but i do think he will give him a good fight. cote has one of the best chins out there he hardly ever even gets rocked and i cant remember him ever being dropped.
