did kimbo just compare himself to Jesus, it must be the beard. after shamrock loses this fight he should retire, no-one is gonna want to see him fight his brother.

I like Kimbo say what u want about his overall skills but he does like fighting and he is how I wish a lot of guys in the UFC were. Meaning he actually dont mind getting hit and he wants to destroy his opponent. A lot of UFC guys r just wrestlers or BJJ guys ho are scarred to get hit or they cant stand and it just looks pathetic. A fighter should be able to stand and trade with people IMO. Think about it not many people get put down if they lose by submission but if u lose by ko or tko then u got ur ass handed to u and thats what i like to see.

this is just like the first time dumbo slice fought on cbs. everyone is buying into the hype that this joke of a fighter can actually fight. hes all over espn again and it just makes me sick. this chump has no mma skills and i hope he gets submitted in the first min, which wont happen, cuz people need to see this chumo for what he is. but he probably will knockout shamrock and everyone will be all on dumbo slices nuts. id luv to see brock lesnar kick his ass

He's a Heavyweight! He doesn't need to be that well rounded to win fights as a HW. Truth is he isn't that great yet but he would still beat most Elite fighters in his weight class.

I disagree with you too Steve, I like to see a fight incorporate all areas of the game. But, I am kind of impressed with the class that Kimbo displayed in this interview. He was pretty respectful and he is pretty humble about being a "celebrity." If he gives it more time to train, he could be pretty damn good in this sport. His kicks didn't look great, and he has a boxer's uppercut, but I guess it's working for him so far.

When I first started training MMA I used to hate it when it went to the ground. Now I think it's the best part and I hope it goes to the ground if the fighter is good at jujitsu. If they aren't then it's still really boring. But good BJJ is like a chess match and you have to see a few steps ahead and see what they're setting up.

I'll bet Kimbo still needs a lot of work on the ground so if Ken is smart he'll be shooting in early and often.

I have trained and I do know a lot on the ground but I still dont feel that it will ever be as fun as stand up fights. I have no respect for people who can only do submisions or wrestling in MMA. How many times have u watched a fight and was just about to fall asleep b/c all the guy can do is lay on the other guy or just keeps trying for the same move over and over? Wrestling is great like BJJ its a part of the game but people dont want to see someone control somebody by holding them down they want to see a KO No one can disagree with that. I guess I got the badass gladiator mentality where I just want to knock omeone the fuck out and I just dont think a submission is the same.

I think listening to him speak is more painful than getting punched by him. What an idiot! I hope Ken rips his arm off so I don't have to listen to his retarded interviews anymore.. Kimbo sucks!!!

Damn strait…Kimbo is a looser and should go back to the slums where he belongs. But in all honestly its not his fault…its Elite XC's for picking up the bum and trying to make him into some icon….what a joke..he wil probably beat Ken but i hope ken beats him.

I train as well and i am very comfortable on the ground working for G&P or Sub i honestly dont like to stand up as to be honest i can throw but i am not good at it and my strenghths are wrestling and Subs so i go for what i am good at. its just the nature of the beast..if your you know your very good at something why turn away from it and try something else…sure it helps to train those areas your weak as most fighters do..Steve your probably better stand up than on the ground and your not in your confort zone when your on the ground as you probably have no idea what your doing down there and get very overwelmed mentally and physically..i am not trying to make it personal just making a point…your probably stronger on your feet so you want to keep it standing where if you go to the ground your out of your comfort zone…i enjoy watching MMA for the fact of the what MMA stands for Mixed Martial Arts meaning all kinds of fighting techique all in one…if you only like stand up stay with the boring boxing my friends as to me i love seeing knock outs but i would much rather see two fighters utilizing all aspects of MMA in a fight and if a KO does happen thats awesome as well i hate the boring stand up fights there is no real action in my opinion..i love the slams the takedowns the sub atttempts and defense and reversals, the knees, kicks punches you name i love it all and i honestly think that most of you all dont want to see strictly a stand up me thats boxing and boxing is boring to watch but thats jus my opinion.
