Michael Bisping is poised to claim the middleweight title from Vitor Belfort even when he recently lost from top fighters like Tim Boetsch and Alan Belcher in 2012. Belfort mentions that he is going to make Bisping regret UFC on FX 7 through a well-managed plan.

Belfort was recently interviewed for this January 19 bout and he has even informed UFC President Dana White that he should start to look for fighting options for Anderson Silva. He said: “I already told Dana, choose another guy to face Anderson because he’s not going to get through me. That’s the bottom line.” He adds: “I don’t care. It doesn’t change anything in my life. God is my provider and I have a fight and I’m winning. That’s the only thing I know, I’m winning.”

Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort is a middleweight fighter from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He currently has 21 wins and 10 losses in his MMA career. His last fight was a loss to Jon Jones where he submitted after a keylock move by Jones in less than a minute of round 4. This was a headline fight between Jones and Belfort in UFC 152. Before this loss to Jones, Belfort enjoyed 2 consecutive wins over impressive fighters like Anthony Johnson at UFC 142 – Aldo versus Mendes in January 2012 and over Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 133 – Evans versus Ortiz 2 in August 2011 after he KO Akiyama in just less than 2 minutes of the first round. “The Phenom” was defeated by Anderson Silva in a headline fight at UFC 126 via KP in just less than 4 minutes of round 1.

Michael “The Count” Bisping on the other hand is a middleweight from Manchester, England. He has an impressive fight record of 23 wins and only 4 losses in his career. He is fresh from his win against Brian Stann in UFC 152 –Jones versus Belfort in September 2012 via unanimous decision. Before this win however, he suffered a loss in the hands of Chael Sonnen at UFC on Fox 2 – Evans versus Davis in a unanimous decision.

UFC on FX 7 will be held in Geraldo Jose De Almeida State Gymnasium, Sao Paolo, Brazil on January 18, 2013. Fans just can’t get enough of this much-awaited fight so stay tuned for more updates on fighters for this event.
