During a press conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil earlier today, UFC President Dana White announced that the coaches for The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil will be MMA legends Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort. White was in Brazil to begin his promotion of UFC 142 which is set for January 12, 2012 in the HSBC arena. That card will feature a Featherweight championship match between Jose Aldo and number one contender Chad Mendez.

TUF Brazil is scheduled to begin a 12-week series on March 25, with the coaches meeting in the octagon at the season’s Finale show. The season will air on Brazil’s Globo network and probably on FX in the United States, although Dana White wouldn’t confirm the U.S. network at this time.

This won’t be the first time Silva and Belfort have competed against each other. Back in 1998 Belfort was able to earn a first round TKO victory over Wanderlei at a UFC Brazil show.

So what's the deal. I thought Faber and Cruz were going to be the next TUF coaches?
