WEC 36: Paulo Filho vs. Chael Sonnen, Rematch

The Brazillan magazine Tatame is reporting, WEC middleweight champion Paulo Filho (16-0) will return to the cage for a rematch with Chael Sonnen (20-9) at WEC 36 in September.

In their first meeting at WEC 31 , Filho submitted Sonnen in the second round, ending the fight that was primary dominated my Sonnen.

A rematch between the two was slated for WEC 33 earlier this year, until Paulo Filho suddenly doped out of the fight at the last moment and checked himself into rehab for depression and a chemical dependency.

Sonnen went on to defeat Bryan Baker by unanimous decision at WEC 33, making him the the top contender for the WEC middleweight title shot.

    damn i hate paul..he a big pussy..he catched a ass woop and he was scared to do it again so he run away and you dont do that…

    I cant wait. I think that fight definitly deserves a rematch.
