Rumors of a fight between WEC Middleweight Champion Paulo Filho and Frank Trigg have been circulating trough forums this week. Frank Trigg confirmed on his radio show, that the fight is possible, but no contract has been presented to him by Zuffa.

“I haven’t signed anything at all,” said Trigg. “I haven’t seen a contract and I won’t until everything is finalized and the only thing I have to do is sign my name and fax the contract back to Zuffa. My manager, Rico Chiapparelli, deals with everything else.”

“The way Zuffa’s accounting system works these days is that things can be done in a matter of hours”, stated Trigg. “The contracts they send out don’t really take a lot of time to make. There aren’t many details that need to be worked out. I’m saying that right now nothing is happening but things could completely change by this afternoon or later tonight.”

WEC 31 is scheduled for December 12 Live on Verses

WEC is perfect for Trigg, nothing special anymore and a good learning curve for younger more unexperienced fighters that want a chance at bigger game.

I think that is where the WEC is now, but some of those fighters are pretty bad ass. It's great for the 135 and 145 weight class guys.

There is a local fighter in my city that weighs 135, he's 13 and 2 and is a lot of fun to watch. I could see him at WEC.

WEC Bantomweight Champ Chase Bebe is one of my favorite fighters and I'm glad I've gotten a chance to see him fight some good fights. He has found a way to beat better strikers and better jujitsu fighters, so the guy has a lot of heart.
